About this listen

Blake: Planning my twin brother’s wedding seemed like a feat on its own. But I’m the only family he’s got left, and really, I couldn’t be happier for him. Turns out, planning a wedding isn’t so hard, especially when the other best man is such a big help. Of course, I wasn’t expecting to have to share a bed with the man or to discover he’s a cuddler and a little handsy. Finding out he wasn’t as straight as I thought was a surprise, but not as surprising as finding out that apparently, neither am I.

Sean: I always dreamt of the day my little brother would get married. Planning the perfect wedding for him and the love of his life is a dream come true. Blake’s help has been invaluable, and I’m glad we’ve been able to grow closer over the past few weeks. It only took an accident, followed by a little courage on his part, to change everything, however. Now, my new friend is becoming so much more, and I’m not sure where we’re headed. How can you have a relationship with a man who’s spent his whole life being straight?

Two grooms, and one wedding. Two best men, and only one bed. How will it all add up in the end for Blake and Sean?

Cute fluff piece.

It been an interesting series. The characters have been at the paint that they are like a one touch away from knowing each other. It been a good series but not sure if I can listen to same narrator again with the way he mangles words.

Good story overall

This started off as a very interesting book. The slow burn was intriguing and I was buying into the characters. But, pretty much once they got together, the book was over. So, it was incomplete in my opinion. This book could have developed into a much stronger story overall.

The narration was ok. Not good enough (for my tastes) to elevate the story, but not bad enough to detract from the story overall. So, meh. Decent enough.

I received a free copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review

enjoyed it - solid 4 stars

📖 This is an easy listen, nice pace, not much drama, likeable characters (with the exception of Eric's wedding jitters turning him into a bit of a groomzilla 🤣) and has an enjoyable story.

I liked that there was just a easy acceptance of a new relationship/sexuality and it was embraced and not fought against 👍, and enjoyed the dynamic between the four guys - their teasing and banter was very entertaining.

🎧 In the grand scheme of things, Keith Smith is still a fairly new narrator, he improves with each book he narrates and I think he's done a reasonable job bringing Two Best Men to life. He has good rhythm, intonations and expressions and there are clear differences in the main characters so that it's easy to distinguish everyone. There are some inconsistencies in some of the characters speech patterns, word pronunciations and similarities in supporting characters voices, there are also a couple of editing oversights, however, these are only minor issues and not enough to spoil the story. Overall an enjoyable performance, and I'd be happy to listen to it again.

⚠ I received a complimentary copy of this book at my request - it has in no way influenced my review.

Sweet and playful

Plot: A cute bi-awakening, close-proximity (in bed...giggle) romance
Feels: Sweet and playful
Drama: Eric gets in a huff when he finds out about Sean and Blake
Heat: 2/5
Characters: Eric was quite unlikable here, though my perception may have been influenced by the performance
Pacing: slow-burn
Length: ok
Ending: HEA
Performance: Clear narration; not a fan of the tone used for Eric - made him sound downright mean, like a total A

Great story

This was an interesting and loving story. I truly enjoyed listening to it. I wish it was a little longer.

Cute story but...

I liked the story, and there were some cute, funny parts. However, the relationship aspect of it seemed.... weird? Not loving? I’m not exactly sure what it was. There didn’t seem to be believable intimacy between the 2 M/C.
So let’s move onto the narrator...... How do I say this nicely? It needs work. His voice for Sean was absolutely horrible. It was so nerdy, childlike and just unnatural it took away from the whole story. Also, the voice for Eric was angry ALL THE TIME. Even on his wedding day. The narrator’s voice didn’t match the situation that was happening. During one sex scene, instead of sounding sultry and gruff he sounded like a high pitched child. It came off as pretty awkward. I feel bad that the narration took away from this story. Overall, I would recommend this story, but maybe just give the book a try and skip the audiobook.

Gonna have to relisten

Note I confused the series with *F*ort Dale and this one is *P*ort Dale so I was easy lost at first. I'm going to have to read the other book that's connect to this one to get the full feel for it. This was totally my fault for not paying attention. I do not recommend reading this as a stand alone.

I was not a personal fan of the narrator. I found myself easily checking out from the story bc of his voice.

The story is a very cute one. I totally need to go back and relisten to it though after I read the book about the groom's in the story. I just don't think I can properly review in full without doing that but I promised I'd leave a review so I am. I will redo it when I get caught up.

humorous and entertaining

The forced proximity led to a lot of feels coming out.!!! I enjoyed the changing dynamics of this relationship between Sean (secret cuddler) and straight Blake, acceptance and growth. I found this very entertaining and funny. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.

Horrible Narration

I forgot how much I dislike this narrator. Also the plot was just so boring.
