About this listen

Love is an act of bravery.

Retired Navy SEAL Alex Rojas is putting his life back together one piece at a time. Being a single dad to his young daughter and working at Hope's Crossing Kennels to help rehab a former guard dog, he struggles every day to control his PTSD. But when Elisa Hall shows up, on the run and way too cautious, she unleashes his every protective instinct.

Elisa's past never stays in her rearview mirror for long, and she refuses to put anyone else in danger. But with Alex guarding her so fiercely yet looking at her so tenderly, she's never felt safer...or more terrified that the secrets she keeps could put countless people in grave peril. The only way for both to fully escape their demons will take the ultimate act of courage: letting go and learning to trust each other.

If you could sum up Ultimate Courage in three words, what would they be?

Lighthearted, sexy, entertaining

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I expected more action

Have you listened to any of Daniel Thomas May and Kristin Kalbli ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

yes. I just wish Daniel would only do the male voices throughout and Kristin only do the female. The female character sounded like a transexual when Daniel Thomas May did her voice. It was weird.

Great series - love the dogs.

Good story, but I feel as if the author could have developed the characters better if she didn't spend time writing the porn

Why the porn??

Liked the overall premise; would have enjoyed more action involving the dogs. Not so much about what the main characters were thinking . Really enjoyed the narrators.
Good work.

Action !

I totally live these dog stories. Of course, with both the guy & woman being beautiful, you can’t help but know they will get together. Having regular size & looks sometime would be nice in one of these stories. But we all can dream can’t we??

A heartwarming story

While I enjoyed the main characters Alex (dog trainer & single dad) and Eiisa (woman on the run from crazy ex-fiancé), the dog (no idea how to spell his name) and Alex's daughter Boom stole the show.

There were some issues with the plot (a little too rushed, a few dumb moments) yet overall it was engaging and entertaining. The author is obviously talented so her books should just keep getting better.

Love Love Love the Dog

I read the first book in the series and had to get the rest. These all had great characters and I loved the dog aspect. It was great to be able to learn a bit more about military service dogs from a different perspective. I've been aware and have a bit of info on service dogs as emotional companions for vets. This was a different side of military dogs and had a wonderful romance element in all of the books.

Great Series
