The day I turned 16, my boyfriend-to-be died. I brought him back to life. Then things got a little weird.…
Molly Bartolucci wants to blend in, date hottie Rick, and keep her zombie-raising abilities on the down-low. Then the god Anubis chooses her to become a reaper - and she accidentally undoes the work of another reaper, Rath. Within days, she's shipped off to the Nekyia Academy, an elite boarding school that trains the best necromancers in the world. And her personal reaping tutor? Rath.
Life at Nekyia has its pluses. Molly has her own personal ghoul, for one. Rick follows her there out of the blue, for another.…Except there's something a little off about him. When students at the academy start to die and Rath disappears, Molly starts to wonder if anything is as it seems. Only one thing is certain - Molly's got an undeadly knack for finding trouble….

What made the experience of listening to Undeadly the most enjoyable?
It was a fun listen. There is a lot of teenage slang, so much that it almost seems like the author is trying too hard- but I found that more entertaining than annoying. What was one of the most memorable moments of Undeadly?
When Molly first meets Annubis.Have you listened to any of Rebecca Gibel’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I don't think I have listened to any of her other performances, but I liked her. I would be willing to listen to her again. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Molly is mature enough to admit that she made a mistake, and faces the consequences.Any additional comments?
I thought this book was a really fun listen! I loved all of the Egyptian mythology and I thought it was a really unique twist on zombies. Sometimes the author tried too hard with all of the teenage slang, but the main character is a 16 year old girl. I found it more amusing than annoying. I liked Molly and didn't find her to be immature. I tend to think that most YA heroines are a little too mature for their age. Molly is no Katniss or Tris, but she is very like able. I am excited for the next in the series.Zombies and Egyption Mythology

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I wouldn't recommend this book. It ended up being pretty disappointing even though it sounded like an interesting idea. What was most disappointing about Michele Vail’s story?
The main character seemed very immature for her age, and kept using all kinds of slang that was distracting and got to be very annoying as the story kept going.Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite scene would have to be when Molly first uses her powers. The author did a very good job creating a picture of what was happening.Do you think Undeadly needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Considering the book ended on a cliffhanger, it probably could use a follow up, but I don't think I'll be reading it.Any additional comments?
I bought this book when I got Warm Bodies, and actually enjoyed that a lot more than I originally expected to. Save yourself the time and money/credits and get that one instead.Interesting premise, disappointing execution.
