About this listen

Norah has agoraphobia and OCD. When groceries are left on the porch, she can't step out to get them. Struggling to snag the bags with a stick, she meets Luke. He's sweet and funny, and he just caught her fishing for groceries. Because of course he did.

Norah can't leave the house, but can she let someone in? As their friendship grows deeper, Norah realizes Luke deserves a normal girl. One who can lie on the front lawn and look up at the stars. One who isn't so screwed up.

Listeners themselves will fall in love with Norah in this poignant, humorous, and deeply engaging portrait of a teen struggling to find the strength to face her demons.

Highly Recommend

Fantastic book and the narrative was wonderful. This book brings to light mental illness which for some time was kept a secret for fear of ridicule.

Good, but too long

The author did an excellent job painting the picture of how severely debilitating the mental illnesses with which Nora is diagnosed can be, but then she beats the proverbial dead horse to the point where I was fast forwarding in 30 second increments through quite a few chapters in the middle. The irony is that it’s her ability to so thoroughly capture the impact of the diagnoses from the get-go that ended up being detrimental to the story!

Enjoyed it ..

I know the book is about OCD and how it affects a person's life but for some reason I found so cute and both the characters Norah and Luke are so darn adorable
I enjoyed reading this book, it was fast paced and has the right balance between explaining OCD and how one can overcome it slowly .. I LOVED Norah's mother she is amazing and Dr.Reeves they are a powerful unit
it did give me Everything, Everything vibe but I enjoyed this one better
the writing style was a bit annoying at times but the story made up for it

The narration was really adorable and I liked her sound and her performance a lot

Too Much Figurative Language

I loved the story line of this book, but I found myself wanting more! I noticed that several similes and metaphors were used which seemed to ruin it for me. There was so much focus on the details/writing of this book rather than the story line. It was a good book, but it wasn't the best one I've listened to.
