Publisher's summary

Chris and Danny Friessen return in a short sweet novella about unexpected consequences in their young married life.

Chris and JD have barely had time to come to terms with the fact they’re just married but barely know each other. The man she married has a side to him that is not only a dominant alpha quality but is also impatient. But the chemistry between them is the glue that holds them together.

Danny and Evie are stuck in big city, Seattle, and between law school, studying, and work, Evie can never find the right time to share a secret she knows could be more than Danny could handle.

But as both couples soon learn, life’s little surprises could end up being a greater gift than they could ever expect.

Great Book

Unexpected Consequences (The Friessens #14) was a great read by Lorhainne Eckhart. Chris and JD have barely come to terms that they are married and barely know each other. Danny and Evie are stick in Seattle. Between law school, studying, and work, Evie can't find the time to tell Danny the secret she knows he can't handle. Both couples are learning life's little surprises could be a greater gift than they expected. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

A great story coupled with a great narrator

The story more or less deals with the reality of everyday issues that plague our daily lives. That is what I love about this. It delves with how strong a family can be when faced with unexpected circumstances. The emotion is palpable. Sorry, I don't give out spoilers. I highly recommend this. I wished I had the book so that I can listen while reading. The narrator was perfect.

A baby changes everything!

A quick read that shows both sides of the pregnancy surprise. The wisdom of the grandparents is needed.

This was a sweet book on how brothers had to grow up when their wives became pregnant and they moved back home. Great inspiration and very nice. Thanks audiobooks unleashed!

This one really tugged on my heart and I loved it!

For such a short audio (1 hour, 27 minutes) Unexpected Consequences sure packed a punch with me. While you might be able to enjoy this story without reading any of the others in the very enjoyable The Friessens series, I really suggest that you read books 12 (Danny and Evie) and 13 (Chris and J.D.) first. I say that because Unexpected Consequences is about both of these couples.

The blurb for the story lets you know that J.D. has taken a home pregnancy test but there is so much more to this short story. This one really tugged on my heart and brought on all kinds of tears, some a bit sad, others because parts of this story were just so darn tender.

If you are a fan of The Friessens series you really won't want to miss this one.

Regarding the narration…Teri Clark Linden also narrated book 13, In the Charm and, like with that one, she did a great job with Unexpected Consequences. I've been a bit critical of some of the narrators used for other books by Ms. Eckhart but Teri Clark Linden really does a wonderful job and made listening to this story very enjoyable.

A review copy of this audiobook was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

Unexpected Consequences... Lorhainne Eckhart

A story I enjoyed listening to the narrator did a very good job a voice I did not mind listening to. Chris and JD, and Danny and Evie two brothers and their wives have a lot to think about when they find out the women are both pregnant. The story itself is well-written and I enjoyed listening to it.

Unexpected Consequences

Unexpected Consequences
Jed and Diane once again have a house full, with 2 of their sons now married. Time to grow up, he tells Chris, who has been a vagabond. Riding on his motorbike, coming home with a wife.
Chris and JD as well as Danny and Evie, shock came for them with the news, the guys didn’t handle it well. It was a change of their plans, of what they wanted to do. Not thinking of how life changes for their wives will be. When they see their babies, will all that change. The audio, was well done by Teri Clark Linden.
Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Coming to terms with changes

Okay, I would love to be able to be a parent that had the right things to say, at the right times. I also would love that children, no matter what their age, would understand and listen, as well as realize that a greater number of years on this earth, often gave a person, a greater degree of life experiences and knowledge.
If only life could be as an author writes it!!
This, you may have gathered, is a story, I would wish would happen, in this way, but, I feel, with so many individuals, I can see conflict in the form of rebellion against just having someone "interfering" in the others adult life.
