About this listen

Number one New York Times best-selling author S. C. Stephens brings us the next book in her Thoughtless series!

The spotlight doesn't only shine. Sometimes, it burns.

Untamed

Being the bad-boy bassist for the world's hottest band has earned Griffin Hancock some perks: A big house, a fast car, and most importantly his incredible wife Anna. The one thing it hasn't brought him is the spotlight. Anna tells him to be patient, that his talent will win out. But Griffin is through waiting for permission to shine.

Without warning, Griffin makes a shocking decision and takes the gamble of a lifetime. Suddenly he's caught up in a new level of lights, cameras, and chaos - one that pushes his relationship with Anna to its limits. Anna has always found his unpredictable behavior sexy, but lately he's seen an ache in her eyes, and it has his soul in knots. Just as the recognition Griffin seeks is finally within reach, the thing he loves most in life could be slipping through his fingers...

Griffin...Griffin...Griffin...

Narration, R. D. Lindo - OK, His narration was good, I just thought a few of his tertiary characters were either stereotypes or over the top. His main characters of Griffin, Anna and the majority of the band and his story telling were fine, so it was perfectly fine to listen to the majority of the book!

So, the book starts out with a note from the author about everyone's requests for more of Griffin, and how she hopes we will love him as much as she does. I was expecting some thoughts on the inside of his head that would make him endearing, and the stuff that came out of his mouth would be... well, Griffin.

Nope... With Griffin, what you see is what you get! I could not stand him. His thoughts were selfish, rude and pretty much absolutely identical to what comes out of his mouth. I kept thinking - "hmmmm...I'm not really seeing that she's making a case for me to fall in love with Griffin" And the farther you get into the book, the more you'll want to strangle the life out of him. He was right on up there with Kiera in my book.

So new shelf on Goodreads - in honor of Griffin -
"Liar, Liar Pants on Fire"

He dug himself a liars pit sooooo deep, I could see no way for him to crawl out of it, and certainly no way for him to redeem himself.

...and then, the book started to change
...and
...so did Griffin.

Then, I LOVED this book, I loved Griffin, I cried. Griffin redeemed himself. The author wasn't crazy after all. The thoughts in his head changed. His heart changed. The band changed. Everything changed. But wait!

S.C. Stephens! What in the heck did you just do????? I was so damn sad for him that I thought my heart would break and I was cussing S.C. for what she decided to do with this character. I didn't just cry... I ugly cried.

But!
The book wasn't done...
The story wasn't over...
And that's pretty much all I can say except - Read this series. Read this book. Stick with it. To the end. It's a Rock and Roll Roller Coaster Ride to Redemption!

awesome

Griffin has always been the "D" in D-BAGS. I think this absolutely was his story. While we all know he can be whiny, I loved watching him grow up.

S. C. Stephens didn't disappoint me. She is such a good writer. Griffin's story is captivating. I couldn't stop listening to the book. Kellan and Griffin are my favorite characters and I enjoyed reading their stories.

I count get enough of the biggest DBag

I don’t think I ever laughed so much with a book character as with Griffin lol . He starts as being clueless, a teased and his humor is undeniable but everything changes for the best. Loved we got to hear about his story and how he turned around from being a jerk dbag to humble family guy.I wish I could have gotten Ana’s POV on this book as well that would it be great since she sound to be the female version of him in some sort of way. Loved them and loved this book. Can’t get enough of this Dbags and their stories

Love S.c Stephens!!

I am a Hugh fan of the series.
I also believe this wasn't the best in the series but it gives insight into Griffin and as a series goes... Perspective of each character makes me want to find out about all the band members and makes me want to buy the next book to find out what happens next there should always be a next in my eyes..
I can say as a negative when men play the narration of women it is akward and unbelievable and makes me what to fast forward.
A man's naturally deep voice to play a feminine is almost unbearable to listen to.
Please shell out for a female to play anna and the women would have made the listening for me personally Abetter for the story

Good story

I really enjoyed the story and loved the narrators voice for Griffin but the other voices the narrator used for the males in the story weren't very good.

Oh Griffin!

I was so eager to find out more about Griffin I was initially sad I missed his entire beginning of a relationship. He is so arrogant and self centered but it is one of those books you cannot put down. As the book went on you begin to actually fall in love and root for Griffin. I am so glad I read this book it was great getting to know d-bag Griffin

Waiting for Something Good to Happen to Griffen

This book is good but too long. Griffen makes so many bad decisions, it's hard to listen to it sometimes. I waited for the story to change and for him to get something right...not until the last hour. Really? Kinda depressing. R.D. did Griffen's part well, but some of the other characters sound scary.
