About this listen

Can your favorite hockey players finish their first season together undefeated?

Five months in, NHL forward Ryan Wesley is having a record-breaking rookie season. He's living his dream of playing pro hockey and coming home every night to the man he loves - Jamie Canning, his longtime best friend turned boyfriend. There's just one problem: the most important relationship of his life is one he needs to keep hidden, or else face a media storm that will eclipse his success on the ice.

Jamie loves Wes. He really, truly does. But hiding sucks. It's not the life Jamie envisioned for himself, and the strain of keeping their secret is taking its toll. It doesn't help that his new job isn't going as smoothly as he'd hoped, but he knows he can power through it as long as he has Wes. At least apartment 10B is their retreat, where they can always be themselves.

Or can they? When Wes's nosiest teammate moves in upstairs, the threads of their carefully woven lie begin to unravel. With the outside world determined to take its best shot at them, can Wes and Jamie develop major-league relationship skills on the fly?

Warning: contains sexual situations, a vibrating chair, long-distance sexytimes, and proof that hockey players look hot in any shade of green.

I looooovvvvveeeed these 2 books so much! What a great way to spend a Sunday but with these two gentlemen.

I am in Jamie and Wes love. I can’t choose don’t make me.
I was emotional invested in these characters that I even shed a few tears.

Jamie and Wes are navigating what a relationship means when you have to keep things on the down low for a while. And how hurt feeling and insecurities come to light. But it’s what you do with all that that really makes a relationship.

I loved the way these two fella’s love each other. They are so in love it makes your heart happy. Even struggling with new things that pop up it’s their love for one another that shines through with this book. I loved it…did I say that already? Well it needed to be said again.

I want more, more, more books like this. MM is wonderful all on its own I am finding that out. :D

Fantastic narration as well I loved both narrators they brought this book to life in my ears.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Great follow up to Him

I fell in love with the characters from HIM. Their love story was so great and reeled you in, it was great to see how they handled their very public lives and their private relationship. I loved seeing so many accepting people in their lives. Wes’ teammates came through as well as Jamie’s family. The narration was the best Teddy and Jacob brought all the feels.

I love them!

I love Jamie and Wes! They're fun, adorable, awkward, and so hot! And it's a great look at how the stumbles and complexities of any new and serious relationship can be complicated by the need (perceived or genuine) to hide that relationship. Great story, well-read, makes you feel good! Go have a listen, and go have a listen to the one before it! Very well worth the credits!

Great story!!

(Un)Embarrassed to say it brought tears to my eyes... several times. Love the ending with the green shirts. Love Ryan and Jamie's story. I know there won't be a third book but hoping for it anyway.

5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed this series. This series was my first M/M and I don't think I could have picked a better one to start with. The story of Wes and Jamie have raised the bar on any that may come next for me. I can't imagine the real fear of coming out and hoping to be accepted for the choices you make and the amazing realization when those surrounding you actually do accept your choices. Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan are amazing narrators and made you feel not only the love between Jamie and Wes but also the struggle of their secret and not caring who knew once it was revealed. This was one of the best friends to lovers stories written.....now I can see why this series has been highly recommended in the book groups I am in.

Jamie and Wes are perfect

Any additional comments?

I can't get enough of Jamie and Wes. I fell in love with them in [book:Him|25686927] and this just cemented their perfect spot on my top ten favorite couple lists.

This is what happens when the newness of a relationship wears off.
Jamie and Wes are trying to figure out their way in this crazy relationship they want more than anything else. And it isn't easy, what with trying to hide their relationship from their peers.

I've realized there is always a moment in a book that solidifies itself as something worth reading--well, there should be, but whatever. There is that moment when I sit back and say 'yes, that's the moment.'
The moment in Him was the first kiss. That first kiss was sheer perfection and ranks in my top five best first kisses ever. That moment in Us was the moment Wes dropped everything to be with Jamie. The moment he placed his lips to Jamie's forehead and then his lips was the moment I won't forget. It's the moment I'll want to replay over and over just to experience it again.

Jamie and Wes may have a few obstacles to overcome, but they have the help of the Canning clan and their new neighbor/Wes's teammate, Blake. Blake is awesomsauce. Buckle up because he'll have you laughing in a nanosecond. And I know he has his own book, but this first meeting is to die for! I love him so much! He's the perfect counter to the seriousness of Wes and Jamie.

So, Wes and Jamie are my go-to couple when I want a story that will make me happy. I know I'll be listening to them at least once a year from now on.

Loved.

I Give this Book a 4/5 Star Rating.
No Spoilers.
HEA(?): Yes
Relationship Type: MM
HEAT: 4/5, in some scenes it did sounds a bit...repetitive? But still enjoyable nonetheless. 😁
Romance: 4-4.5/5, but I don’t
Drama: 3.5-4/5, I likes this book, BUT I was kinda expecting a bit more drama then there was in the book. This is a good and bad thing, because I do feel like some things were just pushed under the rug.
Suspense: 3.5-4/5
Pacing: Mid, but the last half felt a lot more hurried than I was expecting.
Formats Read: Ebook & Audiobook

Audiobook Rating: 4.5/5, Listing as 4.
The Audio from both Narrators was much more each in ‘sound’ than book one. It did sound like they were bored at times, but other than that I do love their voices.
