Having listened to the first book which ended on a major cliffhanger I eagerly awaited this one, This series is an emotionally dark rollercoaster ride full of unexpected ups and downs. Ruth effectively died at the end of Vampire's Kiss but has been brought back from the brink and because of all that's happened to her is now determined to be much stronger in this her second chance at life!

Russell her bodyguard was shot trying to save her and she asked that Elithien save him, he does but not in the way you would expect, he now has Unseelie blood running through his veins and he considers himself a monster, but a monster determined to keep Ruth safe at all costs, even from himself.

Determined to keep her safe, even when they can't be with her Elithien and the rest of her vampires agree to keep Russell around but these guys are possessive and don't like to share and the fact that Russell loves Ruth is a complication. Will there be five males in her life going forward?

This book, like the last ends on a major cliffhanger - personally I hate them but I'm loving this story so am again eagerly awaiting the next book to listen to.

The series is narrated very well by Cheryl May.

I enjoy the story, but would like to suggest that the author refrain from using the phrase "in an instant" constantly throughout the book. I understand they're vampires and move quickly, but at times it seems that phrase is used 4 times in one paragraph.

I absolutely love this book series! I just hate that there’s only two books that have audio because I have a job I can only listen to the books! Hopefully they get the next couple books on here!!

I loved this story as much as I did Vampire’s Kiss. They did such a good job in getting me enthralled into this world of wolves, fae and vampires. I had a hard time waiting for book 2 on audio after book 1, but once again this was well worth it. Now I can’t wait for book 3 lolol. You won’t be disappointed!

No spoilers from me….but, now I gotta see what happens. The story ends in a cliffhanger that I can’t wait to find out!!! Even though I REALLY hate cliffhangers…. This story was, again incredibly well-written and I was riveted from the beginning.

This story was, again, captivatingly, mesmerizingly narrated by Cheryl May….her rough, growly voice was perfect for this story!!! There were times she brought chills down my spine!!! Each and every word she voices is just perfectly nuanced….and she captures each of these characters intimately!!!!

I can't wait for the rest of the series....but, this is the last Audiobook I have....soooooo sad....... :-(

OMGosh !!! So freaking great!! 2nd installment of this series that will capture and hold your attention and leave you screaming for more. Ruth and her four vampire lovers travel ever deeper into their relationship as well as personal and political conspiracies. I can't wait to see where the author is taking us next with this series.

This picks up straight after the suspenseful cliffhanger which ended book 1 - and the sexual tension carries on and doesn’t quit as Ruth’s four sexy vampires save her, nurture her back to health, guide her through the shockwaves after her trauma, support and claim their lucky lucky lady. However, they may also have to step aside and make room for another.. because, in order to save bodyguard Russell, they had to make him a dark Unseelie monster. And, as Russell tries to come to terms with and control what he has become, he’s developed a fierce mating urge for Ruth. He was willing to die to protect her and he already owns a place in Ruth’s heart.. but will the possessive charismatic alphas Elithien, Hurrow, Justice and Rule move over and let him in?

Fear and terror grips Ruth which makes her emotionally weak.. but her determination to find out what happened to Russell and help him whatever the cost, will put her in a very vulnerable (and potentially deadly) position. With Fae, Wolves, Vampires, sinister suspense, sizzling sexcapades and sensual smoulderings, there’s no wonder I finished this in a day. The sex scenes are M/F not multiple as they each like their own ‘alone time’ with Ruth. Cheryl May did a great job with the dual POV narration too. Unfortunately though, it ends on another climactic cliffhanger (book 2 of 5).

Worth a credit? Yup.. it really has become a reverse harem paranormal romance and I love the intense chemistry that goes on between Ruth and her broody bloodthirsty guys. Now she’s ready to fight for all she’s lost.

What a ride! I love how both this book and the first has someone yelling ‘Ruth, run!’ at the end. Talk about a bombshell. I never saw that coming. I am so hyped up over this series! I couldn’t read/listen fast enough it was so good. Yet, I wanted to savor it and not let it end. Russell is so freaking amazing! Although we didn’t get a whole lot of him, we will next book. I think. I hope. There’s so much happening. If you haven’t read the first one, do now. This is one series that needs to be read in order.

Ruth is like a different person now with all that has happened. I love her. I liked her before but now I love her. You will be blown away by Russell. I cringed for him at first but also was all dreamy. Alex is MIA, but don’t worry, he will turn up. I have to say, this is up there with the BDB. In fact, I think I like this series better.

The narrator is SO good with any voice. I could see it all play out like a movie.
