About this listen

I always wanted a little sister. But not her.

The cult known as the Black Phoenix is hot on my tail, attempting to thwart me as I liberate monster women across the multiverse and bring them back to my castle. Worse yet, a half-sister I never knew I had is their champion.

The only thing that can stop a Van Helsing is a Van Helsing, so I can’t afford to take her lightly. What’s more, I have to stay focused on my mission. But when there’s downtime…

Well, it doesn’t hurt to have a little fun.

room for improvement

honestly, this series is Virgil's weakest series so far. MC & rpg system isn't consistent.

Great book 2!

Such a great series!
Van Helsing's son and crazy daughter are still at odds, and the son is gaining power as he saves monsters and protects them. While the daughter is trying to kill them with her cult.
With his castle and a bunch of monster girls, he has a lot of qualified help and all the snu-snu he could want.
I like that this MC is somewhat of an anti-hero, and he's not afraid to get bloody when the situation calls for it.
I was gifted this book with the expectation of an honest review.
If you enjoyed book 1, you are going to like book 2, and I suspect, the rest of the series to be.
I'm giving this book 7.5 out of 5 stars.

Not bad

Enjoyable isekai tale of a monster girl collecting scion.
The (non-sexual) torture scene got more explicit than I cared for.
I personally enjoy the different terms the more submissive monster girls use to address the protagonist. Sadly, no bondage in this book.
I think the series has been abandoned? There appear to be no more books in the series as of August 2024, but the story is far from over.

5 stars

Another great book by Virgil Knightley. You will not be disappointed. Also the dual narration really brings the story to life.

Good Story Continuation With More Family Drama

Nathan and his girls are still at it. Rescuing monster girls, and trying to put an end the the eradication of monster kind. His sister and the Black Phoenix are none to please with his ambitions and meetings between the two groups are teaching Nathan he still has more to learn and further to go. Another title from Virgil Knightley that I just couldn't put down once I started. Fans of the genre will enjoy this series.

meh

like the setting and side characters. however the MC sucks. sucks at his task. not the most likeable personality wise either. supposed to be a badass but far from it. may give it one more before I call it quits
