Starts slowly

It's worth listening to. Definitely predictable but still a fun, lightly scary romp. (PS: I knew Sarah would be an asshole.)

Just Great!

I thought it sounded kind of derivative of a lot of similar horror stories but as it was short I thought I'd check it out. I'm so glad I did. A really cool story and a great narration by Kris Dyer.

Gothic Masterpiece

The only negative I can give is M, it was not longer! Loved the story. Loved the narrator! My first book by author, will not be my last!

Suspenseful, Paranormal, SCARY Ghost Story

Loved the characters, the way the story played out, and the ending was PERFECTLY horrifying...

Another Ashcroft masterpiece!

This was absolutely a non-stop listen! Another brilliant, creepy, intense mind-f#$k of a well-researched, detail-driven, physically-reacting WTF story with an amazing narrator! can't get enough of this author, on to his next one!

fun story, bit predictable

this was a fine short work of horror fiction, and I especially enjoyed the ending. There's a plot point I found predictable, but that could just be me because I consume a lot of horror content

Excellent!

Verona: A Ghost Story (Kindle Single)
by Benedict Ashforth
This is a pretty good horror ghost story. It starts slow then keeps building up! A couple can't have kids although they have tried and tried. They give up and buy a big home and decide to foster or adopt. They first want to take a vacation to get back the closeness they had before.
As the story unravels, new details emerge that caused this reader to rethink the plot repeatedly! Well played! What I thought was going to be a simple ghost story was certainly a lot more and a lot more complicated!
Terrific narration!

Right Amount and Type of Creepy for Halloween:)

I liked the story's development and the ambiance that engendered a spooky environment - perfectly setting the mood. It was a great short that managed to produce well formed characters, albeit predictable, that made the story that much more interesting. 4.5 stars - Recommended

Pretty good horror/ghost story

This was a pretty good horror and ghost story that started off slow and ended with a bang. Definitely a story of evil at work and history repeating itself. Short in length but that doesn't take away from the story or the characters.
