Publisher's summary

The bodies are found in towns and cities around Puget Sound. The young women who are the victims had nothing in common - except the agony of their final moments. But somebody carefully chose them to stalk, capture, and torture...a depraved killer whose cunning is matched only by the depth of his bloodlust. But the dying has only just begun. And the next victim will be the most shocking of all....

overall great read

The story line is interesting and keeps you drawn in. The epilogue literally made me gasp. The narration is perfect for this book and sounds very natural, as if he is a character himself. I recommend Victim Six to anyone who likes intrigue, though I do need to throw out a word of caution. There are very graphic violence and sexual scenes so be aware that this isn't something you want to listen to if there are children in earshot. I am not a fan of violence or sex scenes just for the sake of being there, but in this story the scenes served a purpose of showing the depravity and evilness of the characters. The author could have gotten away with fewer of them though. Overall an enjoyable read.

Decent and fast paced

The Sixth Victim by Greg Olsen is a well-written and suspenseful crime thriller that follows detective Kendall Stark as she investigates a string of murders in a small town. Olsen's attention to detail in the investigation process makes the story feel authentic and believable, but some readers may find the violence and gore disturbing. Overall, I recommend this novel to fans of the genre, earning it a 4.1-star rating.

pretty good, heavy on SA descriptions

I had a little trouble switching between characters, took me a while to commit to memory who was who. a little graphic at times, sort of anticlimactic in the grand scheme of the story but nice ending!

Decent story, but graphic.

This was a good story but not for the faint of heart. The sexual sadism gets pretty intense so be aware. I would recommend this book but only if you’re okay with reading about some seriously predatory acts.

5 Stars all around.

I've been listening to Olsen for about 6 - 8 books. Although not in succession, you can definitely tell his earlier work.

Most books lately have that cookie cutter narrative. You know the middle and ending by the end of the first paragraph.

This was, although somewhat gory, refreshing.
And Snow for narration!

Good Book

I really liked the book. The characters are flawed and some parts of the book are graphic. Recommend.

Good Story, Narration is pretty bad...

The narrator was robotic to the point of seemingly computer generated. I like the author and the story but honestly, Mr. Snow was stunningly wooden. To have a male performer with a female lead character is an odd choice. Add falsetto to the robotics. Awful.

Couldn’t take the narrator anymore

I couldn’t finish the book, so I’m not sure how good the story was or the ending. The narrator made the story so boring, he sounded like a news anchor.

Gripping Story

I've never read a Greg Olsen book that I didn't like. I caught the fact that if everyone who' was working on this murder spree was on the same page the serial killer would have been caught much sooner. Is news just about a headline and glory for the writer? Or is it possible to have a symbiotic relationship between police and the press.
