About this listen

With the pain of the past behind them, Jessica and Alex are ready to move on with their lives. But moving on is hard when it involves reconnecting with the family who wanted to send Jessica to an institution. And living life isn't easy when someone who doesn't belong is watching her, threatening her life, determined to take Jessica back to the afterlife she should have joined months ago.

And every day becomes a little harder for Alex. Time is ticking, and if it runs out, Alex won't be returning to the world of the living. It all boils down to Cole's final words to Jessica: What are you willing to do to save him?

The answer to keeping Alex lies in Jessica returning to the place he saved her from.

Good Ending!

I really enjoyed listening to this series. The narrator did a very nice job! I loved Alex and Jessica and their storyline in this book. Great characters, great narrator, overall great series. Was enjoyable and fun to listen to.

An Intense, powerful and thought provoking series.

I found the entire series to be dark, foreboding and thought provoking. Ms. Silvey's performance especially in this last book brought tears to my eyes. The series intrigued me so much I had to listen to all three books a second time. Ms. Taylor's interpretation of Heaven, Hell and how each person was judge was disturbing to me because the Exalted or Heavenly judges seemed really wimpy in comparison to the Condemned who seemed more powerful and committed to filling up the under world. The evil Angels were truly frightening no wonder poor Jessica was scared to death to fall asleep.

All in all a wonderful performance and great read. Enjoy!!!

Very good

Great book, great narration! I listened to all three in a row. Couldn't stop listening. Even cried in the third book.

Weakest of the three

In my opinion, the third installment of this story arc was the weakest of the three. The story lacked depth. It missed the major conflict of the previous. It was really just difficult to stay with all of the whiney self centered POV. In addition, I found s major component of the "fix"attempted to get what they wanted to be ridiculous. It made no sense that there was a thought and plan to sway others to do their bidding and this solve their problem. In my opinion, the main character was a shrill self centered twit in this one. I want what I want. Blah, blah, blah. The final solution to the problem was by far one of the stupidest o could have imagined. Big let down. I would not recommend this book. Stick with the unknown end you had from book two. Steer clear of the dud.

Disappointed

**REVIEW FOR THE ENTIRE SERIES ** SOME SPOILERS.

Narrator did a good job in her performances of all character's and giving them their own voices. My only complaint is her incessantly sighing throughout the entire series.

Didn’t enjoy this nowhere near as much as the House of Royals series, which is why I ventured into more from Ms. Taylor as I devoured that series in a matter of a week, all 3 of the intertwining series within.

Quite a few flaws with this one. SO much angst. Insta love. Immature. etc. It's been only 4 mos and mentions of Alex's non aging comes up more than I could kept count of. At 23yrs old, why would this even be mentioned ??

Cole's storyline just didn't make sense to me in the end.

I couldn't like Jessica after her constant berating of Alex for not proposing to her.

This was altogether much too YA (clean) for me. I find it very difficult to buy into any 20yr old heroine or 23 yr old hero, to have enough life experience/maturity to behave the way these two do, well, Jessica acted her age in her ridiculous behaviors.  I wouldn't recommend it.
