Their second chance at love turns lethal when a man from her past is determined to see her dead.

Navy Chief Cooper Talon is on leave to clean out his dad's house and shut the door on the abuse he suffered there. He takes a break to go camping with a buddy, never expecting to run into his friend's younger sister, Ginny - the girl he secretly adored 12 years ago. With an upcoming deployment, he can't make a play for her heart. But when someone stalks her, his protective instincts kick in.

After an abduction overseas, travel photographer Ginny Bradley returns home to Maine. A camping trip with her brother will put her nightmares to rest, and meeting up with Cooper makes the weekend complete. Thousands of miles will soon separate them, but something powerful draws them together. Then someone threatens her life.

With time ticking down to Cooper's deployment, they must discover who wants to hurt Ginny. Long-distance romances rarely survive, but they end permanently when threats turn lethal.

Photographer Ginny Bradley is still suffering from PTSD after being abducted in the Middle East. Now she’s back home in Maine and trying to reclaim her life...a camping trip with her brother and his hs best friend is just what she needs. Except that the best friend is non other than Cooper Talon, the guy she had a crush on in high school...and apparently to whom she is still attracted. Cooper is back home to clear out his deceased father’s house before another deployment. He needs a break and goes camping with his best friend and sister. He never expects to reconnect with Ginny as more than friends, but that’s what happens. Is this second chance romance doomed, given that he has to leave and she believes that she has a stalker?
Good story, albeit a bit slow at times. Looking forward to Eli’s story.

Good second chance romance

The story line was really good , so it should of been a great listen …. It wasn't great, it was good but had the potential to be so much better.... Then men including the man character in the book "Cooper", are in the military , suppose to be bad ass soldiers , described in that way yet there story lines were weak, doing nothing much threw the whole story to support there character and description.... This book had so many possibilities but in the end was a huge let down.... the book was written weak with not to much imagination put into the writing ….

disappointed

The male narratior recording is damaged or bad it spunds like he recorded in a wind tunnel. The story line is fine but I felt myself constantly rilling my eyes at the amount of angst and second guessing of what seems to be clear cut danger.

Its an okay read

💔❤️‍🩹❤️‍🔥Hey Amigos, I’m going to lay it out with pros and cons you decide.

Here are the pros overall it’s a really fun storyline. I like the whole camping adventure thing and a possible bad guy on the loose. Thrilling adventures at every return, wink wink nudge nudge.

I’d like to give a shout out to our narrators they both did a great job however I like the female voice better than the male. The male narrator wasn’t bad. I just don’t think he had a sexy voice and was not properly selected for this particular book.

The cons would involve the actual writer and how she portrayed our leading lady. Zoinks!

It really bothers me and turns me off when any writer purposely writes a female character to be willfully ignorant. Such as in this book. I don’t know why they do it. Maybe it’s to get sympathy from the audience and make you like the character better? But in the end, I find it to be simply cringeworthy.

Since this is a romance, of course I was rooting for our couple! It’s hard to defend characters that are willfully, ignorant, and keep doing stupid things over and over even though common sense dictates otherwise.

I knew our leading lady was going to be a hot mess from the very beginning and the campground scenes.

She was in denial regarding being chased and refused to open up about very obvious things with her brother the friends she made at the campsite and refused to contact a park Ranger, campsite manager or even the sheriff.I found her personality to be that of a fifth grade girl… in La La Land with a devil make care attitude.

Anyone with half a brain would have assessed the situation within seconds and packed up and left the campground while calling authorities and making proper statements. Was our leading lady supposed to be slow? Or mentally challenged? unfortunately that was the vibe I was getting off of her character or should I say the way the writer had her character written in this particular book.

The cringeworthy close calls, death threats, and such continued throughout the book. There were signs everywhere as they say the writing was on the wall, but our leading lady still neglected the signs dismiss them, didn’t speak up when confronted with friends, family, and the law …completely in denial. in my opinion, this all boils down to very poor writing. I’m not a fan of this particular writer.

About halfway through the book, I was really turned off and advanced a few sections because I just couldn’t tolerate her stupidity.

On the bright side, The thrilling moments, were great. I enjoyed the romance end of things and seeing the two characters come together.

Overall, it’s a fun book. Wish our female lead was written stronger and more intelligent. Just sayin!!! Check it out perhaps you’ll love it. Namaste.❤️‍🔥

Willfully, oblivious❤️‍🩹

The suspense gets lost in the wordiness - the action not elaborate enough either. It’s just blah

Tooo wordy

what happened to commend sense, doesn't matter how many things that happen to her, they couldn't believe someone was doing it on purpose. I'm sorry but I don't know any one that stupid that wouldn't take all those things seriously. I find this book unrealistic that just annoyed me.
