About this listen

When magical creatures storm the gates of Londheim and claim it for themselves, Devin, a warrior priest, must decide who the true monsters are in the final book of the USA Today best-selling author's epic fantasy trilogy.

Monsters have retaken the capital city of Londheim and claimed it for themselves. Humanity, fearful of being pushed out for good, has reacted with violence and destruction, and peace between the two races seems all but impossible. Devin will need to bring all his skills to bear in order to find a solution. But the greatest threat to humanity's safety may well be closer than he expects. Because his sister is the most powerful priestess the world has ever seen...and she's fighting for the monsters.

The fate of all races, human and magical, rests in their hands, and the only person standing in their way is each other.

A fun finish

This could have been a 10 book series and I hope the author pulls these characters into a more expanded series.

Outstanding Author!

I've read everything I could find by David! For obvious reasons this is one of my current favorite writers! He comes up with these stories that are so intense when reading over had to initiate a bed time for myself as a few times over read straight thru till dawn! that's right his stories are so good once I've immersed my mind into his worlds I just can't stop reading! And D.D. always has a
satisfying wrap at the end.
I still think about his other series
even tho I read then a long time ago!
Never stop writing Mr Dahlgish! You
have Def found your calling my freind! As for the rest of you readers like me.. please check his other works! you will love them I promise!!!

frustrating and beautiful in the best way

the first two books were amazing, and this final book was the best way to end the series. the characters were frustrating and relatable in such an immersing and beautiful way. the entire book I was wondering how the hell it would end, and I was both surprised and satisfied. would recommend to anyone that enjoys fantasy even in the slightest way.

the end of a great series

So... this is hard to write, but the ending of this amazing story draggs on a bit and falls a bit flat. the story feels like the author didnt have an end in sight and realized they had all these balls in the air. otherwise, the rest of the book is just as good as the rest of the series. i love Devon and his band of friends and family. this is still a great world about struggle and hope.
