About this listen

The world has been brought to its knees by the “zombie virus”. Nations have fallen, cities have been overrun by the infected, and the human race has come perilously close to extinction. But with the first winter come and gone, the infected have been reduced to not much more than a background nuisance, and survivors around the world are taking stock and vowing to rebuild and rise up stronger, better, and unafraid.

"Maligator Country" made me cry. Excellent stories in the anthology and shows humanity lighting the candle against the dark again.

Short complete stories about people surviving. I'm surprised I liked it. I detest zombie stories but listened to this because it had John Ringo's name on it. Stories not just well written but logical.

Finally well told zombie stories.

Thoroughly enjoyed these short stories. We get to revisit the folks in Maine and Chris Smith’s convict/prison guard partners. Totally worthy of the main novels from the series. New authors and settings. Dogs! Catholic school girls with guns and a Marine veteran nun!

Great entry into the Black Tide Rising

Good stories. Kept my interest. Entertaining to set them away from Wolf Squdron. Narrators excellent.

I have loved this series. I listened to it 7 or 8 times. But this book was not worth the credit I spent. I understand what they
was trying to do with the short stories. The stories was so far from the rest of the books.

Disappointed
