About this listen

He's as cold as ice, but I'm ready to make him melt.

I'm sick of being alone, sick of being ignored by my alien "husband," Xade, and exhausted from always being as nice as possible. When the local alien wildlife starts rampaging, all I see is a golden opportunity to finally get some alone time with him on a mission, convince Xade to be my friend… and maybe more. Xade's grumpy demeanor brings out another side of me, though, and I start to realize saying "no" is a skill I need to work on.

Our mission to uncover the mystery of what's driving the alien dinosaurs out of control turns dangerous quickly. Xade and I are in over our heads, but at least we have each other. And in this case, our opposite personalities might make us the perfect team… something he's starting to recognize, too.

ed to the Alien Hunter is book 7 in the Accidental Alien Brides series. I waited a little too long to be able to properly review this book, but I do remember some key points. I enjoyed this book overall, but there were some things that I wished were a little different. The two main characters are both super smart biologists. I thought we would get more storyline surrounding biology and nature stuff so that was a bit disappointing. I also didn't like that the main male character didn't want to believe the main female character when she was telling them about something that happened. He instead was condescending and said she had a head injury and was delusional. The narration was good. 3 stars, overall.

Romance: 💚💜💙❤️

Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: 😒🥺😀🙂
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Carmen - she is a xenobiologist who came to the Suevan territory on a diplomatic mission, only to find out that she and the other women on the mission were sold out by their government. The welcoming ceremony when they got to the planet was in fact a wedding ceremony and all the females were now tied to Suevan husbands. Carmen finds herself wed to a grumpy alien that doesn’t want a mate.

The Hero: Xade - he is what is called a hunter in his tribe. It doesn’t mean that he hunts for food, though certainly can do that. He is called a hunter because he hunts for the truth in the wilderness. He is basically a conservation biologist that strives to learn about the world around him. He was raised in the Jungle all alone. When he was found by his people, he came out of the jungle for warlord training and then immediately returned. His fellow Suevan’s were surprised when he was chosen to get a wife, because he doesn’t deal with people much at all and doesn’t like to.

The Story: The Suevan’s discover a problem with the Crigomar (creatures like the Tyrannosaurus Rex), who used to stay in one part of the planet but have been leaving their territory more and more. This is a danger to aliens and humans alike, and Xade is going to study them and see if he can find out why and what to do about the problem. The other females suggest that Carmen goes along since she is a biologist and has the background to help him.

This story was entertaining; I liked the fact that both main characters were so similar, and both had a love of the flora and fauna. I also enjoyed the mystery they went away to research. The fact that they were going to study some very dangerous creatures definitely added to the suspense of the story, I could tell from the start that there would be some dicey situations in store for them.

This audiobook was narrated from multiple perspectives, done in dual narration by Mason Lloyd and Hollie Jackson. These two narrators make me think of the Ice Planet Barbarian’s and the storylines and romance in these books don’t differ all that much aside from being set on a jungle planet instead of an ice planet. Mason and Hollie always do a fantastic job, and I like their narration style.

Alien mystery on a jungle planet!

Very weak story the worst book in this series so far. the other stories i really enjoyed. this one was rushed and the characters really were shallow with no depth. was looking forward to this but regret paying the $ for this book. hopefully future books are better.

really rushed story

This colorful journey was probably my favorite in the whole series. I’m not sure if it’s because the heroine is mouse like and becomes less so or if it’s just because of their story just pulls at your heartstrings and you want it to be a good ending. If you like this series at all, you will love this book. Enjoy.

Now there’s the campy good times that I loved about the beginning of the series. Carmen goes after her man, er, alien and Xade doesn’t take too terribly long to get on board. I liked that this one had a little mystery and better interaction with the other ladies from the series.

Fun with puns and sarcasm

Female narrator was annoying and juvenile. Plot was weak .The previous storylines were better. Maybe one narrators would be better.

Male narrator kept me listening.
