About this listen

Christine and her older brother, Henry, grew up in the Delaney family as loved and nurtured as if they had been born to Elizabeth and Wynn. Now adults, they are ready to make new lives for themselves. Henry has found love and is planning a wedding. Christine is delighted for her brother, but she is still carrying scars from a broken relationship. And the war in Europe causes uncertainties at every turn, while the Northland still calls to her heart.

Amid this instability, more than one handsome young man shows interest in Christine, and she must make a decision. Is she willing to give up her dreams of a life in the North for a love to last a lifetime?

I was pleased to hear this excellent voice and did not agree with other comments. Story kept me wanting to stay right with it, but was much too short. Looked for another to continue this series but there was none. Janette Oke is a marvelous author and perhaps there will be something there for her followers.

I very much enjoyed the book but felt it was way to short for the price.

This story is lovely however completely ruined by the woman reading it. Do yourself a favor and read the book rather than listen to this audible version. She does this simpleton girlish voice for the leading lady - all her characterizations are terrible. How did this ever happen? I feel sad for the author to have her work tarnished so.

Worst Narration Performance EVER

I found it difficult to accept the new voices of this books narrator. She seemed to be fairly competetent, but her voice for Christine was too young. it made her sound like a small child when in fact she is a grown woman.

Good, but not as engaging as usual.

When you have one voice for an entire series, you really shouldn’t change it on the last book. Very hard to get through.

Overall a good book. The narration was great but the story did not turn out the way I had hoped it would. I would still recommend this book.

Beautiful Story

I love the book very much. The story is a very realistic, I enjoy the honest and Christian life in the characters. Sometimes she is a little too dramatic, and the characters in the book cry too much, however, that is minor.

I loved the book .The stories feel so real
