Publisher's summary

A trip to paradise. A mystery to solve. And a seriously uptight dude who doesn't know how to smile.

Stacey's been intrigued by Jean Francois since the moment she first saw his granite countenance. Then when she found out he could fly...she never was one to leave her four feet on the ground.

While she might act like a princess, adventure is her middle name. Under orders from her king, she drags poor JF along with her to an exotic location in search of answers. On the way, they find danger - fun - clues to unravel - stupendous - and a fiery lust that even he can't resist.

But when it comes to getting the man to make a commitment, this fiery-haired lioness is ready to growl. What will it take to make him admit he cares? Handcuffs come to mind.

Dialog 90's valley girl

The book before this one has some valley girl but if the entitled, whiney, and must have it my way type of female character is not your thing then this book is not for you.

More unexpected drama with the Lionesses

Once you accept that the Lionesses are all superheroes (spy, enforcement, etc..) these situations that the ladies, in this series, keep experiencing make more sense. We all know (from King's Misery) how important it is for series to make sense to fans/readers.

Langlais continues to deliver the unexpected. This time I was much more receptive to it than in a previous book in the series. The characters are extremely well developed an as the series goes on I have begun to look forward to these closer looks into the individual Lionesses. What's especially interesting is their personalities and the specific characteristics that they have chosen for the men that they want long term.

SPOILER Alert
That said, the plot stretched believability a bit with neither the king nor the Lionesses knowing what was going on with a company business as well as staff. Lastly, the narration at the beginning of the book was poor. The narrator appeared to have problems delivering multiple people's voices. Hopefully Langlais will be able to find one narrator for the next series instead of switching every book.

Narrator so-so

I love the series but the change to Natasha Soudek from Serena St. Clair on the previous books was a mistake. Her naration of the male voices was rough.

Generally a decent read

This book is not as good as her others. I enjoy the storyline but, there is a lot of repetition from one book in the story in the series to another. There is a lot of sex in the book. It wouldn’t be too much of an exaggeration to say that half of the book is spent describing their sexual encounters. This is a case of more not being better. Overall though, I’m enjoying this series and so I will read the next book, if there is one.

I just love it!

Lots of fun listening to it. What a lovely contrast between Stacy and JF. They certainly rock! As always the humor brought to life by the excellent narration of Natasha Soudek, makes it a book not to miss!

Spectacularly funny read!!!!!

This is a seriously funny read. Jean Francois (a.k.a. J.F. or Sweet Cheeks) and Stacey (a.k.a. crazy or princess) are a great pair. JF doesn't like shifters, especially lionesses, for personal reasons. Hid master, however, forces him to go on a trip with one such shifter, Stacey. Stacey is one of the crazies of the pride. She sets her sights on him almost as soon as they meet, the two butting heads at every turn, but that doesn't deter her from her pursuit. I love the back and forth banter between the two and their relationship is grand. JF tries as best he can to suppress his desire, to push her away. Nothing works though. Stacey pursues him with a ferocity that only a lioness can demonstrate. The results of their efforts make for a spectacular read.

Plus, the narrator did an amazing job capturing the personalities and reactions of the characters. Well done to both the author and the narrator.

Another great one! Couldn't put it down!

Well she did it again; wrote a story I couldn't put down! The storyline is great. The characters are both hilarious unpredictable. Honestly, the narration could have been a little better but the story was so good it doesn't take away from it. I pre-ordered this, loved it, will listen to it again and again, and I'll pre-order the next!

Lioness Growl

Natasha Soudek is amazing narrating this book. Her voices and inflection making this a fun book to listen too. There were giggles, I honestly don’t know how she didn’t giggle during her performance sometimes.

When you can’t beat them you love them

Jean doesn’t like lionesses, he’s been there done that and has the scars to prove it. When he’s sent to a tropical island to investigate disappearances of the locals with Stacey he’s ready to commit murder himself. Stacey is a crazy lioness that wears a super hero custom while she fights so she doesn’t know why Jean doesn’t want to get personal with her. So what’s a girl to do but do her work and convince a grumpy wearbat that they belong together.
