Story
I was born to an abusive doctor named Ahaz in Kentucky, homeschooled and not even allowed to have friends. When I was nine, Ahaz discovered The Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (Holdeman) in Tennessee, and he forced us to move there. The Holdeman's were religious exempt from education beyond the eighth grade, and I was beat for begging to go to a high school. As a minor, I had to kiss approximately 200 different people on the lips, some of whom were complete strangers, for the sake of something called The Holy Kiss; only it didn't feel holy. Ahaz determined to break my independent, ...

That night, the police kicked in the door to his home and took his parents away. With that, every relationship in his life fell apart. His extended family abandoned him out of shame, and friendships based on dishonesty crumbled and collapsed. Alan soon found ...

Story
There I go again, another piece of me chipped away. Another piece unraveled. And unlike one of my knitted pieces, this mistake would remain. Raised in a Jewish household in a coastal Connecticut town, Debbie left her childhood in the groovy ’60s and entered her teenage years during the disco era. Finding any excuse to get away from her neglectful, abusive mother, she turned to attentive boys for fun and affection. This disillusioned path led to Ivan, her first true love, and Debbie became entangled in a passionate relationship. Life was finally looking up. Until the pregnancy test came ...

When you’re a scapegoat in a cruel and abusive household, the scapegoating doesn’t end when you turn 18. Author Dani Donnelly is just now finding this out at age 50 (Yes, FIFTY), and she’s about to tell the world through her memoirs how pervasively damaging an abusive home can be. Her own mother, a.k.a. her lifelong narcissistic abuser, has other plans: She is taking wild and unthinkable steps to put a halt to the completion of Dani’s book. This novel is a chilling tale of survival.

Story
Every one of us fears the things that go bump in the night. We’re told tales of happenings when evil is conjured or footsteps are heard while alone in a dark house. But those are just stories, right? What would we do if those fears became an intense reality we could not escape? On the night of November 17, 2018, Danielle Leukam went to bed as a newly single mother and nurse from Minnesota. Sad

The content just out and out sucks. Too much detail in areas it doesn’t belong and too little where it is needed. The only two pluses on the content is 1. It is a very short book so the agony didn’t last long and2. It was one of the audible free books so I didn’t waste my money on it. Wouldn’t it be great if some decent titles appear in the free ( oh excuse me, included) content. This is supposed to be a book written by the granddaughter from notes found. And the book try’s to make it look like that is so by having a different age perspective in the tone of the writing. Unfortunately they blew it because just how many notes do you think the fetus or new born or toddler left. And how did she get detailed notes on what the mother did without any kids around.
What I think this is is someone’s attempt to create a story from an AI. Regardless it sucks
Now let’s go to the storyline. Is this family just plain stupid and naive at the same time. We are talking about people from the mid to late 19th century. Many of the characters are old enough to go into apprenticeships but they act like millennials.
Waste of time
