About this listen

Forced to marry a notorious cult leader, I became wife number one.

The other women watch me with envy, but they know nothing of the beatings and punishments I endure. He hides them with a veil. One I must wear until I give him a son.

But when I fail, he threatens the only good things in my life. My sister, Alice, and the daughter he ripped from my arms for another family to raise.

I thought running back to Saint View would save us. I thought wrong.

Now my sister is dead, left strangled in an alleyway, and my ex-husband isn’t the only suspect.

To catch a killer, I move in with the local biker gang that promises to keep us safe. But my new life as a single mom delivers more than I ever could have bargained for, and three men I never saw coming.

Hawk, the club VP who doesn’t want me there. Except his green eyes flicker with desire at every curve of my plus size body.

Chaos, ex-gang leader and part owner of an after-hours nightclub. The connection between us is undeniable, except for one small problem. He’s Hawk’s sworn enemy, so completely off-limits.

And Grayson, the doctor who couldn’t save his wife from a brutal attack. He’s funny and sweet but has his own desperate reasons for wanting the killer found.

With every lie we uncover, every secret we expose, the danger mounts. Until there’s only one thing we know for sure.

The killer is still out there. And we’re his next targets.

Wife Number One is a why choose romance, meaning the main character has more than one love interest. This book contains romantic suspense / dark themes that may trigger some listeners. It is the first book in a trilogy.

So Good!

Elle Thorpe is an amazing author but the audio really makes the story come alive! The use of so many voice actors really brings the story to another level. The cliffhanger is killer, but that's common for this author. I definitely would recommend this story and pretty much anything by this author!

Loved Narrations not Kara

Let me preface this by saying, I love Elle Thorpe and all things Saint View. Kara is the most whiny, ungrateful crybaby FMC I’ve ever read. She is unlikable. I almost DNF several times. I’ll read the rest of the books just bc I’m hoping it gets better.

Irritating voice of MHC

I truly struggled to finish this book, all because of the constant whining voice of Michelle Price! I will NEVER listen to that voice again.
Saying that, the story was awesome! I love Elle Throp and I will READ the rest of this series. All of the male narrators were perfect!

would be better if I didnt hate the fmc

Shes written like a female idiot. She says the stupidest things. Im not even sure if she was a victum. It seems like she just let anything and everything happen to her since she has zero sense, fight or a brain in her head. Her dialog is so piasly cring and it never gets better. I dont think I want to read book 2. Im more so into the guys in a book, but its hard to enjoy overall when I just want to stab her with a fork.
