About this listen

A month ago, I was a rookie with the best stats in the league. I was traveling the world, playing hockey, and making more money than I ever dreamed.

Then my sister showed up on my doorstep with nowhere else to go.

I don’t know the first thing about being responsible for a troubled teen, and the team jet isn’t exactly kid-friendly.

Enter Piper. My sister’s new teacher and nanny.

Smart, nurturing, and just as beautiful as I remember.

Too bad she hates my guts.

We need her.

And this time, I’m not letting her go.

Wild About You is a full-length second chance romance with a grumpy NHL player, his teenage sister, and the ex-girlfriend he never forgot.

The Wildcats are the youngest team in the NHL. On the ice, they’re cocky, determined, and ready to take the league by storm. Off the ice? They’re always up for a wild time.

Such a lovable couple

I loved Leo and Scarlett, the first Wildcat Hockey couple, and I fully expected another great pair for book 2. Well, I got what I expected and then some. Tyler and Piper's journey was absolutely swoon-worthy from start to finish. If any couple deserves a second chance, it's this one. The blurb mentions a grumpy NHL player, but I didn't get that vibe from Tyler. He's a bit of a fish out of water with the circumstances, but that's understandable. He has some serious work to do to get back in Piper's good graces, but he's determined. Piper is just as big-hearted as Tyler, so it's totally easy to root for them. Tyler's sister, Everly, is your typical teenager - yes, she's 18, but that's still a teenager, and she certainly acts the part. Then we have Tyler's teammates. These guys are terrific, and the way they jump in to lend a hand adds the found family feels to an already great story.
We can't forget to mention Joe Arden and Emma Wilder, who give voice to these characters. I was already a fan of both, and when you combine them with Rebecca Jenshak's wonderful writing, it's a must read - or listen as the case may be.

I'm still swooning over this book!

This audiobook was a perfect mix between sweet and fulfilling!

Tyler and Piper dated when they were younger, and because of his schedule with hockey, they had to break up even when they still loved each other very much.

If it was sweet to hear Tyler talking about his dream girl in the first book, to see them finding their way back to each other again was swoon worth it!

Their relationship was what dreams are made of! Together they navigate to reconnect after 4 years apart, and became a family along with his sister and the guys.

I freaking love the guys!
I want a book for all of them!

They truly are a family in and out of the arena! They're teammates, friends and family all in one great group of big guys!

I also loved that there wasn't a split conflict between Tyler and Piper, and the conflict aspect of the story, was about Tyler's sister.

I also hope that she's the one to share a love story with Declan... That would be awesome!

🎧 About the Audiobook Narration 🎧

Narrated by Joe Arden and Emma Wilder and i don't have to say anything else!
Both are great narrators that only helped to increase the experience with this book!

Love this Second Chance Hockey Romance

“You're mine. Always have been. Always will be.”
.
Review: This is book 2 in the Wildcat Hockey series. I loved this one so much! It is definitely my favorite of Rebecca's so far. Tyler is the rookie living his dream and with his own place for the first time in his life. Until his teenage sister shows up. Now he's trying to juggle caring for her along with his career. Piper is the one who got away. I loved how these two reconnected. I got giddy. I think Tyler may be my favorite hockey player EVER! Tyler did things that are usually only in my dreams. The four years they were apart.🥺 What he did after they broke up all those years ago.🥺 I loved the second chance romance between Piper and Tyler.

“I'm done pretending she isn't everything.”

“There is no comparison to her, to us. No one else could even come close.”

EPIC swoon! Oh this man!🥺😍

I loved how Piper cared for Everly and just wanted the best for her. I just love this group of guys. I loved how they pulled together to help Tyler out and how they took Everly under their wing without question. The protectiveness from all the guys made me so happy. I have secret hopes for her and a particular hockey player.😏 I cannot even tell you how much I LOVED THE EPILOGUE! It was perfect in every way and made me sooo happy! I listened to the audiobook by Joe Arden and Emma Wilder. Joe did a great job for Tyler. I find with Emma I sometimes struggle with how breathy she can be, but if I speed up the audiobook then it's great! I highly recommend this one and I cannot wait to see who is the next Wildcat!😁

Excellent Audiobook

This is the first book I've read/listened to by Rebecca Jenshak. It was excellent. I was irritated when interruptions occurred since I did not want to pause this audiobook. The writing was good with an great storyline and wonderful characters. I fell in love with this world RJ has created. My heart felt full while I listened. There were times it squeezed in pain, but I laughed, smiled, and just enjoyed so much of it. This is worth relistening to at some point. I will look for more from this author!

Joe Arden and Emma Wilder are excellent narrators. Their performances were perfection. This book rolled through my head like a movie. So much emotion was felt. Definitely favorite narrators of mine!

a sweet second chance romance

This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it! Even without reading the first book in this series, I didn't feel like I was missing anything when reading this one. I am definitely going to go back and read the first book. I hope there will be more books in this series to come!

Second chance romance is my absolute favorite trope and this one did not disappoint at all. Piper and Tyler were so cute together, had amazing chemistry, and it was clear that they were meant for each other. I was rooting for them throughout the book. I loved how supportive they were of each other. I appreciated that there wasn't a big, dramatic break up scene like there usually is in romance books.

Joe Arden and Emma Wilder narrated this book and did an amazing job. I've listened to other books narrated by each of them and they are among my favorite narrators now. Both of their voices really suited the characters and helped to bring them to life.

Amazing second chance romance!

Tyler Sharp was clearly out of his element when his sister Everly showed up on his doorstep. Ever the gentleman, he gives her his bedroom in his one-bedroom apartment and does what he can to make sure she's safe. His teammates also stepped up to help out "Little Sharpie" with homework and looking after her when Tyler couldn't. It was an unexpected surprise that Tyler sees Piper, student teacher at Everly's school and his ex-girlfriend. The attraction was still there, but the two put aside their unresolved issues for Everly. When they started to talk about the past and work through the issues that led them apart to begin with, gah! It was amazing that they got a second chance to right the wrongs in their relationship and get their HEA.

Emma Wilder and Joe Arden are phenomenal narrators. They brought the characters and the storyline to life! The characters' personality had depth and their gifts of storytelling was like a movie in my ears.

I received an advanced listener copy of the audiobook at my request and voluntarily left this review.

Fantastic

Tyler is a rookie NHL player making a name for himself and finds himself in a bind when is teenage sister, Everly, shows up trouble on his doorstep.

Enter Piper, Tyler’s ex who he never got over but she can’t stand him since he broke her heart four years ago. Piper works at the high school Everly attends and she becomes sort of a nanny to her.

There’s so much emotion in this book. Between their relationship, their past and figuring out the current situation and future. But also the family camaraderie that rallies behind Tyler from the Wildcats team. You will laugh, smile and swoon all over the place. Rebecca Jenshak has a way with hockey romance!

The audio is phenomenal. Joe Arden and Emma Wilder really bring Tyler and Piper to life! They make you get lost in the words their speaking and be able to picture everything that’s going on.

LOVE JOE AND EMMA AS TYLER AND PIPER!

Tyler and Piper are wonderful characters and I loved reading their story!!

I think I say this with every book of Rebecca's I read.. She blows me away with her stories and how she intertwines the characters and stories together.

Tyler will have you swooning so much.. He has become one of my top characters and I love him!
Piper is so sweet but has a backbone when it comes to the ones she loves!

I love the bond between the team as well! These guys are the best!!

If you love a second chance romance this is the book for you!

Such a great audio!!!

This is my first read of Rebecca’s and I LOVED it!

Tyler is a professional NHL player and has not only teammates, but a brotherhood. When he takes custody of his younger teenage sister, they all chip in to help him with his busy schedule. When he goes to the school to meet her new teacher, he is sent back in time.

Piper is a new teacher at the local high school and does not expect to see her first and only love, Tyler, come to a meeting to discuss a student that happens to be his sister. She offers to help his sister and as they all spend more time together, they slowly realize that the time apart hasn’t slowed their feelings down…

Wild About You (Wildcat Hockey, #2)

OVERALL REVIEW & RATING: 4.5 feel-good STARS
I’ve only read a few books by Rebecca thus far but I’m thinking I should start reading a whole lot more because her stories are easy to get lost in and make for a great reading experience!

PERFORMANCE REVIEW & RATING: 5 STARS
The narration by Joe Arden and Emma Wilder was really top-notch. They worked well together and also both did an exceptional job of bring the story to life and not just narrating. Well done to them both!

STORY REVIEW & RATING: 4 STARS
I loved it, but at the same time, hmmmmmm …

The overall feel to Wild About You is one of contentment and joy. It wasn’t perfect for me, but I was still super happy thru my entire listening experience. Without giving away any plot-points, I’ll say that there are several circumstances that play a major part in the storyline that just weren’t realistic. A better way to say that, I think, is to say that they needed a bit more fleshing out in order for me to even understand the motivation behind them. I’m not going to even put these circumstances inside a spoiler thread because if I’m being honest, while they were happening, I was hmmmmmm but yet they didn’t put off my satisfaction throughout the story as a whole.

Okay, enough about the hmmmmmmm, because I want to touch on something the author did an exceptional job with :) Not once did I feel like these characters were New Adult, and they were! They are actually in their early 20s and I had zero clue until I actually did the math in my head and that was waaaaaaaaaay into the story! The story doesn’t vibe with what I know to be true to this age group and I cannot tell you how happy that made me. For me, it was a moment of pure joy when my brain said ”well, I’ll be damned, these people are super young and I didn’t even know it!!” Not gonna lie, that’s some super word wizardry right there and I have to give mad props for it! Well done!
