About this listen
A brand new standalone, opposites attract, college hockey romance.
Chase Lovett.
Star of my (unrequited) fantasies.
Hottest guy on campus.
Hockey god.
Too bad he has no idea who I am. Literally, I’m so invisible to him that he once sat on me in class.
No thanks to a fire in the dorms, he just became my accidental roommate.
Did I mention the hotel room our university moved us to has only one bed?
Not ideal.
Worse, I accidentally left “My Precious” fantasy fandom underwear hanging to dry in our shower.
My actual nightmare.
My name is Cammie Lovelock and this might just be the worst, best thing that’s ever happened to me.

Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

Story
After watching my mother succumb to a mysterious illness, I promised myself two things. I'd find the cure for what ravaged her and leave the godforsaken city where she abandoned me. Four years later, I received an acceptance letter from Dracadia University, one of the oldest most prestigious schools in the country. Nestled on a secluded island off the coast of Maine, it's rumored to be haunted by the souls of the mental patients exiled there centuries before, those whose bones are said to make up the island's white sandy shores. And restless ghosts aren't even its most daunting peculiarity.

Five Stars for no miscommunication
This audiobook was chef’s kiss perfect Jason Clarke and CJ Bloom brought these characters to life. And that it was duet narration brought the story and book to another level.
The best part of Chase and Cammie’s story is that they communicated. I love a good popular jock falls for the nerdie girl but this one hit different. Cammie wasn’t your normal wallflower. She was a badass that stood up for herself. Chase was not one to be influenced by the Bros in his crowd. He stuck to his guns. And I loved it!
I could go on and on about how much I loved this book and why I loved it like the connection to Helena’s other series the Toronto Terror. It’s a perfect blend. I can’t wait to continue with this series.
And I can’t end this review without bringing up Brody. He was the perfect sounding board for Chase I can’t wait for his book. That guy deserves an HEA.

Completely adored
This was fun, cute, nerdy and spicy quick read! The narration was incredible! And it was in duet! Gah! I seriously loved this one! All the Lord of the Rings references and stuff had me giggling!
I didn’t realise this was connected to the Terror series and omgggg I adored all the connections!!! This can be read as a standalone though! It just was fun being able to know who all the side characters were!
If you love hockey college romance then you’ll want to check this out! Also the series it’s connected to because it’s also my fave 😍

Kicking Me Feet & Giggly!!
HELENA HUNTING! MA'AM!!! This was so good!!!
This audio is *chef's kiss!* CJ Bloom & Jason Clarke in duet is SWOONWORTHY! They are incredible as Cammie & Chase!
This is shorter than I am used to from Helena, but it was still packed with lots of laughs, emotions, SPICE, and a lot of heart!
I absolutely ADORED Chase & Cammie! Cammie is a tad bit obsessed with Chase, she starts out as invisible to him (the man SAT on her and still didn't remember her haha!!), but he quickly changes his tune when they become *oops* roommates (error on RAs part) when the dorms are flooded. He is enamored almost immediately, & Cammie decides to push her comfort zone & HELLO HOT NIGHT!
These characters are so adorable! I love that Cammie is a LOTR girlie! So many fantastic memories unlocked because of that, and hell, I want to read her fanfics haha! And Chase, sweet Chase! He may have some clueless moments, but his heart is so good & how he is with Cammie is swoony!!
PS: Love love love how all these new characters intertwine and are connected with the Terror characters! I was pretty excited to see my faves make an appearance!

Audio book review!
This book was honestly one of the sweetest and funniest books I’ve read in a minute.
Cammie, an introverted fanfic writer obsessed with The Lord of the Rings, gets thrust into a situation where she’s forced to share a hotel room with the one and only Chase Lovett—hockey god, campus heartthrob, and, until then, totally oblivious to her existence. But things get real spicy when they’re forced to share a bed, and let’s just say that night changes everything.
Chase is surprisingly sweet and down-to-earth, and it’s adorable to see how he genuinely tries to understand Cammie’s quirks and insecurities. And can we talk about the spice level?! These scenes will leave you absolutely hot under the collar (no shame).
What I loved most? There’s no unnecessary drama—no third-act breakup, just great communication and a relationship built on trust and understanding. Cammie is edgy, not your typical girly girl, and I totally vibe with that. If you’re a Lord of the Rings fan, there’s also some amazing nerdy moments that’ll have you grinning.
CJ Bloom as Cammie and Jason Clarke as Chase were absolute fire. CJ perfectly captured Cammie’s awkwardness, insecurities, and LOTR obsession, while Jason nailed Chase’s charm and sweetness. Their chemistry? Chef’s kiss. This audiobook had me laughing out loud, and I could totally picture every moment unfolding.
If you want something sweet, funny, and a little spicy with a side of fandom love, this audiobook is so worth the listen. It’s a perfect pick-me-up!
