Publisher's summary

Everything I want is here, in front of me.

Rusty Campbell left Hart’s Bay after high school to work in the wilderness. Now, he’s back home for one purpose: seaweed farming. To succeed, he’ll need to fight the tide and win over his skeptical family, once burned by the fishing industry collapse. But there are intriguing new faces bringing good fortune to Hart’s Bay, like the captivating redhead who watches him from the art gallery.

Six months after moving to this small town, Ezra Carter’s bed feels empty. Painting and running an art co-op with his friends doesn’t fill the same need. The city boy is seriously considering lowering his standards...until the man of his dreams walks in and throws his no-good hookup out of the bar.

Why does Rusty have to be straight?

Rusty is mystified at the surging chemistry between them, as their friendship grows. Is Ezra the missing piece to the puzzle of Rusty’s love life? As Rusty struggles to make sense of his feelings, he guides Ezra through his home territory to give the artist new inspiration, but he winds up becoming Ezra’s muse himself. Before long, they’re fumbling their way through uncharted waters.

Can their picture-perfect, no-labels relationship weather the storm brewing under their feet?

Wild Hart is the third book in the new Hart’s Bay series about a small town full of nosy but well-meaning neighbors and brotherly banter. It can be listened to on its own and promises a happily ever after ending with plenty of smiles and steam along the way. Just hold on. When the boat's a-rocking, don't come knocking!

Such a sweet story!

I've enjoyed all three books in this series. Ezra and Rusty are very sweet and mostly unafraid to go after what they want. I enjoy seeing past characters make an appearance. This book can be enjoyed as a standalone, but why not enjoy it as part of the series? I'm looking forward to more books in this series!

amazingly sweet and sexy...

Wild Hartis the third book in the Hart's Bay series by E Davies. This story is so sweet and sexy and fun. Rusty and Ezra are great together in this story about a man who discovers his new sexuality after meeting a wonderful artist. They have chemistry so steamy and their story made me laugh and swoon. Perfect addition to the series.

Narration is done by Greg Bourdreaux. Good recording with smooth and entertaining voicework. Very enjoyable listen.

I love Hart's Bay

And each couple who brings a little more life to this quirky little place just gets better and better. This is sweet, pretty low angst and boudreaux does a great job with the narration.

OMG

Oh. My. God. I love Ezra and Rusty.

Actually the whole Hart's bay series is amazing, but I just Love Ezra's energy and the way he pulls Rusty out.

E Davies has yet again written a master piece. I don't actually know what else to say about the book. Listen to it, and fall in love with Hart's Bay, just like I have.

A fun and flirty listen

This is the third book of this series, and I absolutely love it. It is the first story to have characters that are not directly related to the Hart family. There is a connection between Rusty and Hart's Bay, because he grew up there until he graduated high school. Plus, his parents still hold a grudge due to losing their jobs when the fishing plant shut down. Ezra moved to the area about six months prior, I believe, to avoid relationships and start an art co-op with his friends.

But, Ezra is getting antsy with an empty bed. He's obviously been hurt before, but he is ready to start moving forward. He has spotted the man of his dreams, but he's straight, so hook-ups it will be... until Rusty sees one being disrespectful, and just throws him out!

Now, Rusty has always dated women, but it never feels right or works out. He's always assumed he was straight, but the way he is feeling around the feisty red head is making him question his assumptions. Ezra has told him he is in need of inspiration, so Rusty decides to combine his new business and some fun to show him a few new sights.

There are some insecurities, as Ezra is not the outdoorsy type at all, but he puts his all into doing the things Rusty likes. Rusty just enjoys Ezra's flirting and willingness to avoid labels so they can see what happens.

There are a few exciting and/or dangerous happenings which break up the story nicely. But, overall, this is mostly a fun, flirtatious, friends to lovers romance. Some might call it a GFY, but I'm not sure I would. Rusty's not into labels. And, of course, our MCs get their happily ever after.

As always, the ever-talented Greg Boudreaux worked his magic with the narration. The characters are well differentiated, and the pacing is smooth and easy to listen to. Ezra was a quirky flirt, and Rusty was a down to earth guy.

Happy listening!

Amazing book and narration!

I absolutely loved Ezra! He was such a loud and outgoing character who really had a quiet and sensitive side. I wa sso glad to see Rusty bring that out in him even more. Rusty never really thought about guys but couldn't figure out why he wasn't finding anyone interesting for a relationship. Meeting Ezra threw him for a real loop, but he went with it and didn't shy away from his feelings. I loved watching Rusty come to terms with his new reality and Ezra realize he is worthy of being loved. This was a great book, and I can't wait to read Aaron's book next. He made me fall for him a bit more in this book.

You tangle and capture my heart like seaweed

I think E. Davies and Greg Boudreaux duo really works well. I have loved all of their previous works and this one was no exception. Small town romances are the sweetest.

Rusty has always thought he’s straight. However his views were completely changed when he was captured by a red-haired artist when he came back to his hometown to become a seaweed farmer. Ezra is a bit quirky and a lot artistic. And now the artist is bored and has lost his muse. That is also until he met Rusty Campbell who so happens to be his type who’s also straight. Or so he says. Two men, two yearning hearts and one small town, destiny awaits!

As always, it was low-angst, steamy and amusing. I really like Ezra’s character because of his uniqueness. He’s a bit insecure and wounded because of his past but he’s a very lovable character. And Rusty, thank god he’s not one of those stereotypes who absolutely refuses to be labeled. I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series since it’s going to be Aaron’s! As always, Greg did a phenomenal job narrating this story. Could t get enough of his performance! 😍
