Could wilderness be our only hope?

As our culture removes itself from the natural world, something very essential has been lost.

But there is still one place we can go to get it back.

Come along on a spiritual journey, away from a chaotic world of details, obligations, smartphones, and noisy machines to a place that is unspoiled, untamed, and free.

Backpacking mostly solo, Stillman leads us to the heart of the American wilderness, where nature works her magic to heal and transform your life.

In this riveting book, Stillman guides us on a trip to uncover timeless wisdom, ancient magic, and a gateway to the soul.

Is there a greater truth hidden deep in the cracks and fissures of the Earth?

Epic

The content, intentionality, and the weight of the authors words are well placed. This book is very enlightening. Glad I found this book on a thread I stumbled on Facebook… enjoy !

WOW!

I really enjoyed this book! I use to go camping a lot more than I do now. It reminded me of the joy being out in nature and the peace that it brings to my soul. I will be getting back to the joys and peace nature provides me in this busy life. Thank you for this book.

The first book I have loved in years!

This was an amazing book. Exactly what I needed at this time in my life. I am recommending it to all my hiking friends, and also anyone wants to know why getting out in the wilderness is a passion as well as a religion.

Endless Imagery, Fabulously Soothing

Sold when I layed eyes upon the cover and read the title. Wilderness, the Gateway to the Soul. Amazing, vivid imagery that pulls you into the wilderness, mountains, desert, etc. I hiked along with the author in my mind and followed along on a map. I saw places that never before crossed my mind…and some to which I would love to return someday. The narrator’s voice was deeply soothing, allowing the imagery to guide your mind through the read. Loved this book!

Beautifully done!!

Beautifully spoken and explains how I have been feeling towards mother nature my whole life but was unable to put into words. He explains the connection between nature and spirituality in a way I have never seen done before. I needed this book, and it has inspired me so much.

Relaxing Yet Inspiring

This is my second review because we listen to this so often. It’s relaxing. If you love being out in nature this book feeds you until you can get back out there.

Stirring and thought provoking

If you enjoy the outdoors or even have the slightest interest in hiking, camping, nature or travel then this book is for you. I can almost guarantee you’ll have a stirring desire to get out and enjoy nature whether it’s your first time or 100th time.

My only criticism is that the narrator speaks very slowly. I bumped up the playback speed in order to follow along smoothly with the book.
