About this listen

Author Note: This is NOT a dark romance.

Delilah "Lily" Flynn is used to her drab existence. Lily's been living it for twenty two years. Her boring life is suddenly turned on its head when she's rudely kidnapped from her bedroom.

Or so she thinks.

Nox Taylor is far too high up in his field to be assigned a babysitting job. There's nothing more he wants than to complete his mission so he can be rid of the smartass tomboy, Lily.

Day after day, Nox watches Lily and her strange ways. She's unlike any woman he's ever met. Getting close to the girl is purely for her own protection... right?

Lily never imagined she'd make her first real friends in captivity. What lengths would she go through to keep them?

A keeper and worth many credits.

I couldn't stop listening. Happy tears, sad tears, laughing and every emotion in between. Love, love and will relisten.

MUCH MORE THAN I WAS EXPECTING & ADDICTIVE TOO

Delilah has always had a sheltered life with an overprotective but loving Father and now, unaware that her life has been threatened, he takes extreme measures to protect his daughter from the danger she's in.

This is part witty, romantic comedy and part serious too with loveable characters, a feisty Heroine, a broody sexy alpha Captor called Nox and there's plenty of action, suspense, humor, fun filled banter, twists, drama, sexual tension, romance and a few tender lovemaking scenes. There's a love-hate relationship between Nox and Delilah and a slow building attraction which nicely develops, with the help of some life threatening events, into a beautiful, touching and sweet love story. But, when everything suddenly comes to a dramatic conclusion, there's also heartbreak, loss and tears. It has an emotional tear-jerker of an ending and a very sweet Epilogue.

Worth a credit? Told from both POV's by two good narrators and a very well written enjoyable and entertaining plot that always manages to capture the mood, portray the character's personalities and describes how two very different people manage to fall in love despite the circumstances. Which all adds up, IMO, to a very creditworthy listen.

EXCELLENT STORY, TO BAD 95% WAS FEMALE NARRATED!!!

What did you like best about Willing Captive? What did you like least?

I love the whole story and deserves 5 STARS!!
However, what I dislike is that 95% of it is perfeomed by a female narrator, even when it should had been better the real male performance.
I'm sorry but this is just my personal honest opinion!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Willing Captive?

The most memorable moments is when I started cursing because it should had been better to heard the male presence. Lots of times I felt as if the spell was broken!!

What three words best describe Angela Starling and Alastair Haynesbridge ’s performance?

N/A

Could you see Willing Captive being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

I HOPE SO!!

Any additional comments?

Overall, performance of both narrators was good but it could have been amazing if Alastair Haynesbridge had been the one to perform the male character's narration instead of Angela Starling pretending to be a male.

OMG I was tingling all over! Great story and HOT

I fell in love with Belle Aurora after I read "Lev" and this book did not disappoints at all! I love the way she writes, this book is a slow burner and OMG when they get it on its on. I love a great story and not just humping in the bed. It is totally up my alley. Can't wait to read all of her books.

Angela Starling and Alastair Haynesbridge have great voices. They made the book very enjoyable to listen to.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I literally stayed up until 2:00 AM in the morning listening to this book. I had a very hard time putting it away so I could get some sleep before work.

Good narration and a great story

Great narrators for this story. The story itself was interesting and hard to put down. I would recommend this one to a friend.

Lovely story ..... so worth the time and credit!!!

What made the experience of listening to Willing Captive the most enjoyable?

The plot, the narrator, the characters ... all combined to make a great listen!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Willing Captive?

SPOILER ALERT
The explosion. I will say no more...... it is the pinnacle of the story.

Which character – as performed by Angela Starling and Alastair Haynesbridge – was your favorite?

No favorites .... both performances equally added to the intrigue, romance and plot of the story line.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Sometimes dreams do come true......

Any additional comments?

This is so worthy of a credit!!!

Does This Count?

Does gushing over how much you liked a book count as a review? Cause I did like this book so so much, and if there is anything to complain about, it would simply be that I wish the threat had been greater...no wait, no greater, but more--involved(?) in the storyline. Otherwise, great read, great range of love able characters, and great narrators!

Surprisingly good!

This is a book where the love between two people actually gets a fair amount of time to develop and I loved that.
The conversations are funny, serious and sweet.
I was totally hooked and was nearly in tears when the safehouse blew up and Nox was still there. And don't get me started on the time after when Lily mourns over Nox.

This was well worth a credit :)
