Cute Story

I am not really a cat person, although there is one that lives in my house. The author does a good job of trying to capture the aloofness of the feline beast. The story line is coherent and provides a level of amusement of a human hanging out in the cat world for a while. The author also is not shy about the level of predation of felines. Certainly not a story for little ones. A naked woman in the cat cage at the end was a funny twist.

The narrator does a most excellent job of capturing the moods and characters of the various beasts. As usual, the possum gets abused....clever but slow. She provides good tonal variety with the various cats and mixes up the meter as the story progresses.

All in all, a pleasant short diversion!
