Fabulous!

Not like Sunflower County Mysteries, but still a great book and an even better series!

less enamored

I started this series with strong interest, but am finding myself a bit impatient with sappy interludes in the action. fine to mix romance in with mystery, but too often in this case, the romantic reflections bring the story to crawl.

Sarah Booth is less Sarah Booth

Enjoyed the first three books and then they just seemed to become formulaic and Sarah Booth less herself. In this one, she does some truly dumb stuff at the end. Really, tackle a woman with a knife and no one is injured; and there’s no mention of the knife after and no one else gets caught by the pepper spray??? Tinky is now my favourite character...

not as good

slow to pick up steam
love interest is gag worthy and forced.
I love the characters and hope the author isn't getting bored and tires. this book appears so.

A good editor would have done wonders for this book!

I like this series of stories and have listened to many of them. That being said, this story was way, way too long. It was repetitive and boring
in too many parts of the book. (The plot of the book was really not very believable either). This added nothing to the plot. In my opinion, it could have been cut 2-3 hours.
