Being in a situation as Tav and group are in, it feels real. All the chores, daily life, knowledge of characters, and personality of all the characters makes this a good read/listen. not overly done sex scenes, great narrators, and perfect pacing of timeline. Characters are growing in relationships and personal qualities. I enjoy this book and recommend it to anyone who likes post-apocalyptic, survival, action book.

If you enjoy Eric Calls writing and you enjoyed the first book in this series then I believe you will enjoy this book. I found the progression of this book interesting and the growth of the characters fun.I'm interested to see where they go from here and I would love for them to have some interaction with others that did not end in death. The narration is spot on and I can't wait for the next Audible!

I wish there more character development for the old man but everything is really good

I've thoroughly enjoyed it so far. Only thing that has. just wish there was more details put into the guns of the story. SKSs are not civilian AK47s. they're an entire different gun. H&K does not make a MR556 with 20 in barrel. The longest barrel was a 16.5. when talking about ammunition and you see gr after the number such as 62gr or 55gr it's pronounced grained. Talking about caliber you'd say five five six for 5.56 not five fifty six.
