About this listen

An attraction that threatens the future of the pack....

Spirited, stubborn, and deeply loyal wolf shifter, Sasha, feels the pressure from her pack to claim another pureblood, yet no one is brazen enough to defy the elders and toy with her...no one besides a hotheaded half-breed.

Tabor, a rebellious outcast, is the hollow's only wizard shifter. Constantly overlooked despite his strengths, Tabor believes Sasha is as shortsighted as the rest of the pack until she proves there's more to her than a blindly obedient lapdog.

Unable to resist the proud and sensual pureblood, Tabor would risk everything to claim her. Despite her vanishing bloodline, Sasha can't resist the charismatic half-breed, even as the elders set her up to breed with another pureblood.

Predators are closing in, threatening the strength and stability of their pack, and there are shifters within Wolf Hollow willing to do anything to prevent the pair from mating.

Contains mature themes.

Great storyline!

This post apocalyptic world where shifters and magic exist has a good amount of spice coupled with a great storyline that kept me wanting to know what was going to happen. You have Sasha as a pureblood who is being treated as nothing more than a breeding factory in order to keep the pureblood line going, Tabor who is the only mixed breed in wolf hollow and an outcast because of it. The characters grow in their development becoming more confident and finding their voice especially Sasha with the council.

There are the characters you love to hate and oh boy do I. I also enjoy the fact that while there is justice for wrongs, not even the main characters get their way entirely, it makes it more believable.

The wolves have their own areas but then we find out about the wizards area where people have magic and can cast spells. And the humans seem to have abandoned their homes and now live in communities also, and this is the only downside to the story. I wish we had more knowledge of how the world came to be this way, however while I would wish for that info it is not necessary for the story to continue and I hold onto hope that other books in the series might explain it.

Overall it was a very good listen, the narrator did a great job with the voices which makes it easier to follow along while listening. If you like paranormal romance this book is a must read.

Different!

This story took me to a different kind of shifter world. It is refreshingly simplistic in a world that is natural and dangerous. The humans are surviving in the waste land and the wolves are human they are based on post-apocalyptic existence. Have to see if her next book is as interesting.

Intriguing adventure

Full body of storyline. Not just basic shifter story but an adventure into the paranormal world.

it was different..

I'm used to listening to books about shifters being more in the present and modern day. This story was after the fall of humans and gave "caveman" but, for wolves vibes. it was very slow going and I felt a little robbed with the ending and hoped it would have been more than what it has unfortunately turned out to be. This book left me wanting so much more and was a bit unfulfilling.

Not the storyline I would like

I wanted to like this book because I love the narrator, but I just didn’t enjoy it. I love shifter stories where shifters hide from the humans in plane site. This story is based in the future after an apocalyptic event hits and wipes out much of society. The story moved very slowly and I didn’t love the anti woman philosophy of a lot of the shifters, as if pure bloods are only good as breeders. Many things annoyed me so much that I just couldn’t get through the book.

Absolutely Terrible

This book is sooo slow. I couldn’t do it. The characters often didn’t think logically, it sounded like a crazy world to live in AND, even with 90mins left in the book, I still had no idea what the point was. I kept asking myself, “Is this a story that 𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓁𝓁𝓎 needs to be told?” The answer my friends is no.

As for the narrator, I had no problems. I think she did a great job even though the material was terrible.
