Yes!!! This is exactly what I was hoping it would be! I loved getting to see what happened to Allen and I really liked all the new characters. This book left me wanting so much more of this series. I missed the original cast but I know we will get back to them eventually. Whenever Allen was in the last books as "the past" he was a little preachy and I really worried this book would be that way but it was not. Jade is now in my top favorite characters list. I love a bada$$ with a sensitive side too.

Narration was perfect as always.

*On a side note, I read reviews after I finish a book and I gotta say I'm very surprised at all the comments about this being unrealistic, I mean it is Fiction!!! If this story was written to be realistic, I think it would be categorized as Horror lol.

This is the second time I’ve listened to this book and I find more details the second time around. A book that will give a guy pause and makes one think about what would you do knowing....

Kevin Pearce brings incredible realism to this. The story is great, learning what happened with Alan. looking forward to the next book. hoping it will bring a happy reunion, though with C.A. Rudolph, the reader is often caught unawares.
