I have two other books by Chris Fox that I found helpful and I was looking for a way to do market research. This was a great and enlightening listen.
I’ll be implementing the steps for the next several months and will update my review then. My concern is that this was written in 2016 and although ebooks are still popular, I wonder if the criteria or methods for identifying exploitable gaps need updating.
We shall see! Good luck to you guys and happy writing!

This is an enlightening listen I am not an author but curiosity got me, I am a 95% audio book listener and 2% book reader the rest 3% I'm entertained by something else. I took 1 star away because Chris Fox talks about one trope that we all hate as consumers of your works and that is books ending with to be continued especially when he says if the book doesn't sell well move on to something else. we don't like it when the tv shows do it or the books and than just discontinue the series. I think actually I should take 2 stars off just for suggesting it. I can tell all the writers who will decide to persue audiobooks as one of your delivery stations is to get a really really good performer and I can't stress how important that is. Happy writing can't wait to hear your works.

after reading the book I took a look at a series that I was getting ready to write and realized with a quick couple of twists and a little bit of readjusting on my thinking I could write to market with the new series and I'm excited to get started
so thank you Chris and good luck

I listened to this book on Audible. The author really drives home - “Know” your genre, and use the same tropes as the popular books do to succeed! This was a helpful book in many ways. The author uses examples of his own mistakes when writing, editing, and marketing his own books. He provides a summary of the research you should do before writing, in the final chapter. I think single novel and series writers both can learn from this book and I recommend it.

Will buy all of his books. I wrote 4 books so far, and I'm learning as I go. It's nice to know that someone out there as been on the journey already, so they can tell writers like me, how hard it is. It's hard. I love it! Thank you for this gem.

I'm already a fan of Chris Fox's nonfiction buts but Write to Markets makes you reconsider everything you thought you knew about writing a successful book and thank is powerful.

The title caught my eye and the book delivered. I am in the middle of writing my first book. It gave me ideas on how to change what I am in the middle of writing. It taught me how to position my manuscript against the hundreds of thousands of books it will compete against. It taught me the basics. If you remain open to the concept, it will work for you too.
