If you want passion...

This is probably the most passionate love story I have ever read - of course written in nineteenth century manner. There is plenty of hearlessness and cruelty but deep passion is the undercurrent that moves the book. You may not like the characters, but the intensity of feeling will bowl you over. If you like that, this is the book for you.

Good character development.

The narrator was ok and the story line entertaining. What I liked the best was the character traits of the main characters. They were never one sided.

Nice narration, but sloooow pacing

I've been wanting to read this all my life, and I guess I'm glad that I've finally done it, but I thought it would never end, found it quite dull. Maybe an abridged version would have been better, but I abhor abridgements. But I felt like this could have been reduced by half and been a better book - it just dragged on and on. That said, the narration was very nice, probably the saving grace of the recording.

Love the narrator

The story is, of course, wonderful but for me its all about the narrator. In this case, the narrator adds tremendously to the enjoyment of the text. Her ability to articulate dialect, and her inflections, her use of emotion, were all just super. I enjoyed every minute of the reading.

Best reader for this story

Classic story, but this version is the best in my opinion. Especially Joseph's part, absolutely perfect for the old man.

Dull

What would have made Wuthering Heights better?

Being 50% shorter. So totally boring. I only listened to half of it.

Any additional comments?
