Publisher's summary

The Wyoming men are back! In their quest for true love on the range, are these ranchers bold enough to open their hearts to the women under their protection?

Ren Colter may own an enormous ranch in Wyoming, but he scorns his wealth. He's closed himself off since his fiancée left him years ago, so he's shocked when he allows Meredith Grayling to stay with him. He tells himself it's only to protect the blonde beauty from a stalker, but Ren's alpha instincts soon kick in.

The last thing Merrie wants is a devastatingly handsome man like Ren lurking around her. He's too experienced, too appealing for her already shot nerves. What she needs is just to get away from it all: the man haunting her waking dreams and the one hunting her like an animal. But no woman escapes this Colter cowboy!

Wyoming Brave by Diana Palmer

I LOVE this series! So, who is the strong one? Who can tell with such remarkable characters...complex, distant or red hot romantic. Great screen description, developed characters and more rocky turns than a Wyoming river or Texas, too! Thank you, again, Ms. Palmer! Now, I must re-read the rest of the series all over again! Yee-haw!

Disappointment is an understatement

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

A reader with memory issues

Would you ever listen to anything by Diana Palmer again?

Absolutely, Diana Palmer has over thirty books in her Long Tall Texans/Wyoming Men series this one book can't negate her overall storytelling abilities.

Which character – as performed by Todd McLaren – was your favorite?

He was the reason I was able to get through the entire book. I don't have a favorite.
Nice job Mr. McLaren

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Yes, the narrator

Any additional comments?

This novel is an example of "Epic Fail". As a D.P. fan, I have certain expectations for each novel. Her editors failed her and what we wind up with is a book that had potential not a D.P novel. How many times are we going to be forced to regurgitate the same lines? We are educated readers you can tell us once. Characters who are transplanted in the beginning can not later have their parents baptised in a local church just to maintain the "People of Faith" theme.
Overall, this book had poor primary plot development, no viable secondary plot at all, weak and underdeveloped characters, poor research, a rushed transition AND a very predictable conclusion. My advice is to wait for the next book in the series, you will not have missed anything important.

Interesting story with mob ties.

What did you like best about this story?

Interesting story line with unexpected mob influence - I wasn't expecting that in a western set romance in modern times. The main heroin takes your through a journey of her growth learning about life after being raised by an abusive father who kept her in seclusion. Great hero character in Ren...loved that rich cowboy.

What didn’t you like about Todd McLaren’s performance?

In fairness to Mr McLaren - his male voice were excellent. He pulled off deep voiced main character - southern cowboys, and Italian mobster accents. However, the publishers really need to get female performers for the women. It was actually kind of hard to listen to a man trying to sound like a frail woman for the main character. Had I not already been drawn in by the actual story line, I may have stopped listening. It was worth it in the end, but this really needs to be addressed by the publisher.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I tried to listen to this all in one sitting - but it took 3 due to my schedule. I did find myself wanting to get back to it during the breaks.

Any additional comments?

Overall a good listen , good story, and good performance with the notes as above about the female voices.
