About this listen

In this world, we often find ourselves at the mercy of those who we assume know more than us. This can cost us time, money, energy, and even our health. Arm yourself with the information you need and the questions you should be asking to protect yourself and to make sure that you get exactly what you need when you need it.

Heating and air conditioning systems run on simple principles, and ignorance of those can cost you more than you can dream! This audiobook gives you the tools to empower yourself so you will never again have to blindly trust what others are telling you and you can troubleshoot minor problems yourself.

Insightful BUT didn't provide "questions"/roadmap to properly interview/hire HVAC-companies. Great overall sales-pitch to hire procalcs.

Lacks basics/plan/questions to hire HVAC companies

The “how often should I change my filter” part did me in. I mean, I listened through to the end, but only after a fight with my better conscience. Hats off to the author for getting where he is, but it is really difficult listening to people self-promoting while acting as if they aren’t self-promoting.

Informative but painful to listen to at times

mostly a sales pitch, some useful information. because I'm looking for information and lots of places this did help me a little bit but the sales pitch was annoying I would have been okay with a sales pitch in the front and in the end but there's a sales pitch throughout the whole thing in fact most of the book was a sales pitch

30%info and 70%sales pitch

I liked it, as a business owner in the hvac industry, the Information could also relate to the CSR of the company to get a broad base knowledge of what customers might ask. they could use for qualifying questions on the initial estimate phone call. Someone new to the service dept. when a lot of these questions are asked on a daily occurance.

good for home owners and company CSR

This book was good, as a rookie hvac tech it allowed me to see it from both ends. And just a different way to approach the game. Another point of view. We don’t know what we don’t know so why not hear it out. I’ll be checking out the other books. Good job.

information repeated, very basic. To far generalized. not what I expected. almost as if I paid for advertisement of a product.

I have 23 years in the industry and can tell you this is written with the sole purpose of knocking HVAC traditions and know to work procedures to sell his load calc program that is mentioned over and over. a load calc is standard in a design of a mechanical system.

It's really just a pat on his own back. Every trade has people that don't do it properly, he makes it sound like all install company are hacks. just not true.

This book is pushing the authors product.

no actual info. not worth the time or money. the guy just wanted to write a book, which is fine. I was hoping for some actual usable insights into the hvac business.

lame duck
