About this listen

Eight proven principles to help you overcome self-doubt, conquer your fear of the future, reverse negative thoughts about yourself, and hurdle any other obstacles standing between you and your dreams.

Instead of letting his circumstances control him, Dr. Carson took control of his attitude and actions, leading to his discovery of eight straightforward but revolutionary principles that helped shape his future.

In You Have a Brain, Dr. Carson unpacks the eight important parts of T.H.I.N.K. B.I.G. - Talent, Honesty, Insight, being Nice, Knowledge, Books, In-depth learning, and God - and presents the stories of people who demonstrated those things in his life. Through the advice and real-world examples laid out here, you will learn how to incorporate these T.H.I.N.K. B.I.G. principles into your own life so that you, like Dr. Carson, can embrace an amazing future filled with incredible success.

I really enjoyed listening to this audio book. It was very entertaining and never a dull moment. I learned a lot about what our brains and what we are capable of if we use them!

Loved it!

My kids loved this book! It’s engaging, encouraging, and informative. My 12 year old son was especially engaged in Dr. Carson’s humble transparency and diligence. Are your kids struggling with peer pressure? Read the book. Are your kids struggling with entitlement? Read the book. Are your kids “bored” with reading? Read the book… just do it you won’t regret getting this one. Excellent!!

You Have a Brain Review

Would you listen to You Have a Brain again? Why?

Yes, The author shows how powerful your mind is if you use it. He certainly challenges everyone to seek all the adventures available as each will provide you with more skills and knowledge to enable you to be more than you ever thought was possible.

What other book might you compare You Have a Brain to and why?

I can't think of any similar book.

Which scene was your favorite?

The scene where he sees the lab tech job opening at a local college and decides to apply even though he is still in high school. He was able to submit an excellent resume because he had held many lab tech jobs in high school. He had obtained each job because his science teachers had recommended him highly to their colleagues after he had worked with them. However what really made him outstanding to the professor interviewing him was that he loved classical music as did the professor.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
