Critic reviews

" Zero Waste Home is an amazing story of personal transformation. It compels us to recognize that our heedlessly wasteful ways are not gateways to prosperity and convenience, but barriers to a good life and a healthy planet. Bea Johnson has produced an invaluable resource." (Edward Humes, author of Garbology)

A great guide to starting a zero-waste lifestyle

The narration had some editing issues, and perhaps a French narrator would have better suited for this book since the author’s French nationality was an important point in the book. Bea thoroughly explained every step and aspect readers needed in order to start their own zero-waste journey. I also appreciated that she addressed of her own privilege in accessibility, and how she incorporated realistic and affordable ways to be truly zero-waste without buying into greenwashing. I definitely plan to purchase a physical book to more easily share with friends, and use as a reference when tackling specific topics (and recipes!)

One of the best books Ive ever read/listened to...

I almost want to listen to it again. Loved the narrator. It starts a tad rough, I wasnt sure I was going to like her. But I enjoyed her full pronunciation of words and clear speech. This book goes beyond others on this topic. The author talks about things that didnt work, the hardships of living zero waste, and the emotions she feels now. I enjoyed the recipes. And above all, the lesson shopping is voting will stay with me for a very long time.

Life changing!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVED this book. I reread it as soon as I finished. This book is completely life changing. It made me step back and see how wasteful I was being and gave me many many ways to change it. I highly suggest reading this book. Everyone really should. I am thinking about buying multiple copies and giving them away as Christmas presents. It definitely changed my life, and it will change yours too. We ALL could be less wasteful.

Great journey to zero waste with top tips

I related to Bea right away, after moving to the USA from Europe. I to am aghast at the amount of packaging here in the USA. I already say no to single use plastic but this gave even more useful tips on how to take back control on waste and say no to things I do not need. Very inspiring thank you for taking the time to write. I will be telling my friends
