One of the better declutter books

One star knocked off for performance only. Her pacing in general was perfect but she should slow down a little to space the chapters and questions presented at different times throughout the book. She is easy to understand in both her presentation and what she is saying. Her real life examples are succinct and contribute well to the points she is making without my wanting her to get on with it.

Powerful ideas, goes beyond physical clutter

This slim volume is powerful beyond expectations. Its impressive synthesis of ideas drawing from many arenas allows one to get at their why of clutter as well as practical tips on the how to tame the inner critic of the mind along with the clutter. I enjoyed the touches of humor as well. Thank you for creating something I actually enjoyed listening to on what can be a hard topic. *In the audio version, more than a 1/2 second pause between chapters would be welcome.

Excelent

I was great and felt it too short. However, it gave a lot of useful things to work on. Thanks

Andrew Mellen meets Mari Kondo

This book exceeded my expectations! I have been decluttering and minimizing after reading Mari Kondo’s book. Then, room by room using Joshua Becker’s method. Then, I organized using Andrew Mellen’s suggestions.
Finally I decided to just give this one a listen JUST because it’s a cute short book (under 3 hours) and OMG! I had never heard of this author but she is wonderful. Her androgynous style of writing and narration, the way she combines the whole business of the universe and energy flow with VERY practical resources of which websites to go to, to list and sell my stuff will actually help me with that last final decluttering of expensive/valuable things that I’m still simply holding on to because they have financial value and until now I just didn’t know HOW to sell them! Thank you Kerri Richardson! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Helpful and practical

I particularly like the action steps that the author gives, along with her upbeat and encouraging attitude. I have several books on decluttering and always take something away from each of them.

Enlightening examples

This is an enlightening, if somewhat shallow, look into the psyche of holding onto clutter.

Need to listen again.

It was just long enough and just short enough. I definitely need to listen again. Perhaps I wouldn't feel that way if I had done the exercises and written them out the first time around. I did bookmark them; if nothing else, I would recommend doing the same and then going through with a pen and paper to write out the exercises. The benefit from this book would be much less without taking the time to apply these exercises to oneself.

Overall it was a helpful book and I enjoyed the narration just fine. I might read the follow up book, but I have other things on my reading list first.

The most helpful part was giving voice to the inner critic and the ways to work around that. So the book is worthwhile for that alone.
