  • DVT/ Pulmonary Embolism part 2
    Nov 22 2024

In this second part, Emily explains that she was in a critical situation when a doctor told her she had a blood clot—one that was dangerously close to her lungs. She was put on blood thinners for seven months. At first, she couldn’t believe someone her age needed them—she’d always associated blood thinners with older people. But just a year later, she found herself facing another clot, and this time, she knew exactly what to do. Looking back, she realized there was one doctor who truly saved her life, but she also came to understand that her health was ultimately her responsibility. Despite the challenges, she made a commitment to herself: she would never skip her daily walks, no matter what. That routine became a symbol of her determination to take control of her recovery and her future.
