Season 7, Vol. 2, contains the final six episodes from Colonial's long running western series' seventh season. Powder River is a full-cast audio drama written and directed by Jerry Robbins.

The Dying Breed, Jacob leaves Clearmont for college in the east, where he will study law. Colonial's long running western series opens with the three part episode, "The Cattle on a Thousand Hills". In part 1, Britt, Dawes, Doc, Matt and Brad begin the cattle drive from Oklahoma to Clearmont, with the rustlers waiting for the right time to strike. In part 2, Cabot Warren, owner of the Ten Star Ranch, devises a plan to have the Creek Indians attack the cattle drive.

Meanwhile, Jacob returns to Clearmont having graduated college, but draws the ire of Cheyenne who is about to marry Laurel, but senses his fiancé may have eyes for the new lawyer instead. A death on a train sends Doc, Dawes, and Britt on the trail of a killer.

In Season 12, Vol. 2, big changes come to Clearmont as Millie sells her beloved hotel to none other than Octavia Hudson, while Esther shocks the ladies and upsets the men as she becomes the new owner of the saloon, and quickly finds trouble when she hires a famous French singer to give a concert on the Golden Nugget stage. Meanwhile, Britt must try to keep Andrew Hudson from the gallows in Boston, while Dawes is faced with the loss of Cheyenne, who decides to leave Clearmont.
