"Out of Time's Abyss" is a fantasy novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs. The book begins with Bradley, who had left Fort Dinosaur and never returned. Bradley and his party are attempting to return to Fort Dinosaur. Along the way, they encounter a creature that appears to be a flying dead man. Some of the members of the party consider it a ghost or banshee. Tippet is convinced that he is soon to die, and the next day a Tyrannosaurus kills him. The ghost-like creature is seen again, and James is killed by a Smilodon.

The Warlord of Mars is the third science fiction novel in Burroughs' famous Barsoom series. The princess Dejah Thoris, John Carter's beloved wife, has been captured by a nemesis bent not only on Carter's destruction, but that of Mars, as well. It is up to Carter to unite the warring races of Mars in a race to avoid doomsday.

"Tarzan of the Apes," the original masterpiece by Edgar Rice Burroughs, transports listeners to the lush, mysterious depths of the African jungle where Tarzan, a child raised by apes, grows into a formidable figure, bridging the gap between the wild and the civilized.

Tarzan, the king of the jungle, enters an isolated country called Minuni, inhabited by a people four times smaller than himself. The Minunians live in magnificent city-states which frequently wage war against each other. Tarzan befriends the king, Adendrohahkis, and the prince, Komodoflorensal, of one such city-state, called Trohanadalmakus and joins them in a war against the onslaught of the army of Veltopismakus, their warlike neighbours. Tarzan is captured on the battle-ground and taken prisoner by the Veltopismakusians.

John Carter has exposed the fraudulent Martian religion, and now there are many who want him to pay. Among them are the defrocked and black-hearted Thurid, and the bitter patriarch Matai Shang. These two villains concoct a plot that will not only plunge the Martian governments into perpetual chaos, but will condemn the plucky Dejah Thoris to a life of cruelty and misery.

An innocent solo airplane excursion plunges Tarzan into a previously unknown jungle valley, where he meets new races of astounding humans. Tarzan finds himself not only enslaved, but imprisoned by an advanced technology that may prevent his return to his former life forever. Tarzan and the Ant-Men is the 10th book in the Tarzan series, continuing the saga a year after Tarzan and the Golden Lion.

Considered one of his best, The Land That Time Forgot, a novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs and masterfully read by David Stifel takes you from a harrowing sea adventure to a lost world. Can you imagine anything more frightful than having your ship sunk, then rescued, then once again having that ship sunk only to rescue yourself by capturing an enemy submarine and then landing on an island teeming with primitive creatures? This is definitely an adventure that you don't want to miss.

This is the first story in the Tarzan adventure novels. The legend begins when Tarzan’s parents are placed on a jungle shoreline by mutinous seamen. Here they establish a crude residence and survive for a time until attacked and killed by a band of apes. But one female ape rescues the baby, takes it for her own, and raises it among a large socially organized tribe of great apes. The baby grows to be a noble man whose great strength and keen senses compel the world around him to bend to his might according to the “law of the jungle.”
