The scripture plainly calls this doctrine the doctrine of “baptisms” – plural. There are three distinct baptisms taught in the New Testament. Just as each baptism is a separate event, so each baptism also fulfils a different role in our walk as believers. This book looks at each baptism in detail, explaining not only what each baptism is about, but also the benefits of each one. Which is why our Lord Jesus put them in place in His church.

The nine gifts of the Spirit can be consolidated into three different categories. The reason that they can be consolidated into these categories, is because each of the gifts categorized, do something similar. The first of the three categories, are what we call the revelation gifts. The reason we call them the revelation gifts, is because each one of these gifts, reveal something. All through our lives up until the time we are born-again, our minds have been trained to think in a certain way. The bible calls it carnal thinking. That thinking is in direct opposition to God’s laws. Once we are born-again God expects us to discard our carnal thinking, and begin to set our minds on the things of the spirit. Hebrews 11:16 “But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.” The New Jerusalem is the city of God. God Himself has both designed it and He has built it. And so, as God is perfect, so the city that He has built is also perfect. In the above passage of scripture, the Holy Spirit teaches us that from its foundations to its pinnacle, the builder and maker of the heavenly city, is God Himself. All of us will be caught up together to meet our Lord Jesus in the air. We will at that point, leave this world and step into eternity. When we leave this planet to be with the Lord, it will take the world completely by surprise. This book looks at the two resurrections, as taught in scripture. God is God. And as such, ultimately His will prevails. So how do we reconcile the concept of the will of God prevailing in the affairs of mankind, while on the other hand, stating that men have a will of their own? One of the fundamental differences between the saints of the old covenant and the saints of the new covenant, is that we have the Holy Spirit residing on the inside of us, whereas the saints under the old covenant did not. Because of this fact, God leads His children under the new covenant, completely differently to the way that He led His servants under the old. The primary way that the Lord led the saints under the old covenant was through the office of the prophet. Psalms 45:9 “Kings' daughters are among Your honorable women; At Your right hand stands the queen in gold from Ophir.” Once the marriage of the Lamb has taken place, the church will no longer be one who is betrothed to the Lord, for she will then become the queen of heaven. The above passage of scripture describes the bride of Christ, after she has been joined to the Lord in eternal marriage. There is a category of gifts, called ministry gifts. The reason that they are called ministry gifts is because those who receive them, are called by God to the ministry, i.e. they are called to serve the church in the ministry of the gospel. God is the one who gives these gifts, and they are appointed by Him. In total, there are ten ministry gifts listed in the scriptures. There are five main gifts, which are the apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher. The other five listed in scripture, are working of miracles, gifts of healings, helps, administrations and varieties of tongues. ...

Our Lord Jesus used the ministry of laying on of hands. It is with the ministry of Jesus that we see, for the first time in the bible, the extensive use of this method of ministry. The laying on of hands, teaches believers how to minister the grace of God to His church and to the world. For the laying on of hands deals primarily with the gifts of the Spirit and the power of God. This book will help the believer to more fully understand the importance of this ministry and how to operate in it.

Believers that are filled with the Holy Spirit, can expect through the use of spiritual gifts, to operate by measure, in the miraculous powers that will be freely available to us in the age to come. The Lord Jesus has given us these gifts so that we can minister His supernatural power to His church, thus edifying His church. This book teaches us how to operate in spiritual gifts.

The bible clearly teaches us that our bodies are not our own, but that they in fact belong to God. One way that we can understand this concept, is to view our body as a house that we are renting. God is the owner of the house, and we are His tenants. As tenants, our land lord expects us to look after His property, and He will hold us to account if we damage it in any way. This book teaches us what God expects us to do with our bodies.

Every person is born into this earth with a conscience. Paul lived his entire life striving to maintain a good conscience before God and men. As believers, we need to imitate Paul in this. This book helps the believer to understand what their conscience is and how to maintain a good conscience.

1 Peter 5:8-9 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (9) Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.” All unbelievers are in Satan’s kingdom, and he holds sway over all of them to a greater or lesser degree, and so none of them pose any threat to his reign in the earth. But there is a group of people in the earth today, over which he holds no sway, because they are not in his kingdom, and that is the church of our Lord Jesus Christ. ...
