Team of Darkness Chronicles

During the peacekeeping operations in the Kosovo region of the Balkans, a group of vampires are discovered by the American forces. The report of the discovery attracts the interest of the commander of the elite and highly secretive organization; the United States Special Operations Command, who sends in his own personnel to investigate. When the General learns that the creatures actually exist, his team, led by Navy Commander John Reese, devises a method of capture and brings the vampires back to the United States.

John Reese thought it was all over-all except the nightmares. Everyone thought the Team of Darkness operation finished, and the vampires dead. When Stone is murdered, a secret government organization sets out to contain the project - their way. And just as he begins his teaching career, John Reese is recalled to active duty to hunt down the two young vampires, gone missing from the 'training' facility. But he must do it without revealing his secret: the Team of Darkness vampires still live, and likely freed the girls.

Commander John Reese is surrounded by those he cannot trust. The Agency wants the young female vampires recovered at any cost or he will spend his remaining years in Fort Leavenworth prison if he is lucky. If the military finds out that the original Team of Darkness vampires are not dead, as Reese told them, it's Leavenworth for him again. Further, if the vampire Dimitri believes that he had anything to do with the girls being placed into captivity then Reese may end up dead in a very slow and painful way.
