The Battle of Earth

2012 - Mankind steps onto the moon's surface for the second time. Three hundred years later, mankind has colonized several planets within our solar system. But the time of prosperity and growth is about to come to an end. Alien forces begin invading the solar system, leaving nothing in their wake. It is up to Earth's newly created fleet of war ships to defend the system.

Two years have past since mankind fought its greatest battle high above Earth's atmosphere. Now it's man's turn to be the invaders, as the USES Hornet and the USES Relentless enter the alien cluster in hopes they can bring the alien war machine to its knees.

The war against the aliens continues in the fringes of known space. Full-scale fleet battles haven't been seen and only pockets of alien forces engage the United Systems of Earth Navy. When a USE colony is attacked and an ally suddenly goes silent, James Roberts is once again ordered aboard a newly commissioned fleet carrier and with its battle group has to investigate the situation. But things aren't what they seem when he arrives and the situation quickly spins out of control and leaves the battle group in unknown territory.

Decades have passed since the war ended and the United Systems of Earth have expanded further into the Cluster, setting up colonies on nearly every planet charted. But a new threat is growing, and when several colonies are attacked, the USES Dauntless is ordered to investigate.
