About this listen

I've never spent a day without my mate since arriving on the ice planet. I'm happy and in love, and we have a beautiful child together. All that changed when the world shook.

My mate nearly died.

He wakes up from his coma...and he can't remember me. Or our son. Every memory of the past two years is gone. And that changes everything between us. How can I love someone that doesn't remember me?

How can I not, when I know he's still my mate underneath it all?

Contains mature themes.

Loved this story

As always loved the narration! I put this one off because of the previous reviews saying she was crying all the time but as always ruby dixson never fails. I loved this book. It was interesting and this is the one that goes into detail about the Croatian village. Absolutely loved this book and recommend the whole series I have them all. Can’t wait for more to come to audible :)

Renewing What Can't Be Remembered

This story is an in depth look at Stacy/Pashov as they navigate the events post earthquake and Pashov's injury and subsequent memory loss. Some of this was detailed in the short ebook 'Aftershocks' but this stand alone dives much deeper into this emotional ride of a relationship. Ruby's excellent world building and character driven writing continues. I love how each individual feels so real because these stories don't feel formulaic. Real emotions and relationship/community struggles feel portrayed despite this being a total far flung fantasy dimension. The characters feel relatable and the situation devastating and difficult. There is some spice here which again is well written and adds to the characters themselves so the way these individuals are intimate with each other is both driven by and reveals more about the people they are. The pace on the story moves along but has a bit of a slower feel than some of the others, not in a bad way but more because I think we are seeing two individuals trying to slow down after their lives blew up. You also see two individuals working through personal struggles (Stacy with panic attacks around fear of heights and Pashov dealing with PTSD/night terrors post near death experience). Ruby really seems to care about her characters which might seem odd to say but sometimes in genre work books can fall into formulas where the story's people can feel like card board cut outs the author is using to write some spicy scenarios that are also pretty repetitive and formulaic but I feel none of that here. I continue to be pleased with the narrators for the story who do a good job bringing the tales to life and imbuing the dialogue with emotion and life. This story does feel different than others in the series and some might not find it as exciting but I enjoyed the change in pace especially given the intensity of the recent events in the world and acknowledging the need for healing. Also highly recommend getting the ebooks in addition to the audiobooks as the author also has notes after the story telling her process on writing the book, explanations of all the names of characters and their relationships, as well as author recommendations for other books.

Good...

I love this series!!! However this story was a bit irritating due to Stacy’s over emotional 😭 constantly saying I can’t have my mate cause he doesn’t remember me!!! Really he almost died and they lost everything I completely agree with the others make new memories!!! Just because he didn’t remember it’s not the end of their relationship plus her constant crying and depressed thinking made it hard on him and the tribe!!! Of course Holly did a perfect job narrating as did the male narrator!!! I hope the next book doesn’t have such a whinny female!!!
Highly recommend

A wonderful return to a great couple

In this book Pashov hits God's head in a cave in. He forgets the last two years, his mate, his son, the change in the tribe. Stacie, his mate is devastated. Who is this man? Where is her beloved Pashov?

The whole tribe has to find a new place to live in an arctic world. These mates find a way for everything, including new memories, faith in love, and a little seduction. A great book.

Awwwwwww Another Amazing story

I have been listening to all the books and cant stop listening. They are all great stories and this one was wonderful as well. I saw a few reviews about how Stacey was boo hooing too much, but they got through it. I would be pretty messed up too if my mate was hurt and lost all memory of me too. I love the series and everyones experiences. Cant wait for more and I will be sad when it ends. :-)

Blue Love

To love a blue man/alien is not easy but when you do it’s strong feelings. So, when that blue man can’t remember you because of a accident do you give up or love him anyway. Grief, what to do.
This journey of exploration is more than to find a new home it’s to find who they truly are. You can’t help but fall in love again for them.

Genuinely Beautiful

Stacy & Pashov's story is both my favorite and least favorite. I love how relatable Stacy is and how adorably clueless Pashov is but the story is absolutely heartwrenching! Just goes to show Ruby knows how to tug on our heartstrings.

Love the series, but this FMC is obnoxious

I never exactly love the miscommunication trope, but can usually tolerate it. This one just takes it way too far. Want to know what’s going on with your fated mate? My god, just ask him. This book is worth it for the plot movement that impacts the series, but man the relationship conflict is as stupid as it gets. I’m not even talking about the amnesia. That part is fine.

Stacey and Pashov

Great book as usual but seems even more stereotypical then usual. Stacey is a bit to whoa is me then seems reasonable but it’s a great book like all the others.

Barbarian's Heart

I enjoyed listening to Stacy's story. I loved this love story between a human woman and her Barbaian mate. A mate who has lost his memories of their time together but, deep down he has the knowledge that he loves her. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a great love story.
