About this listen

A heavenly mix of heartache and triumph, CELESTIAL is so feathering perfect.—CASEY L. BOND, bestselling author of With Shield and Ink and Bone

In ninety-two days, the feathered appendages that link me to the people I loathe finally come off. Dear, winglets, you will not be missed.

Celeste has spent the last four years building a life outside of angelic guilds—parties, check—pursuing human ambitions instead of celestial ones—college, check—and shedding feathers across Parisian cobblestones and more recently New York sidewalks—speaking her mind, always check. She swore off angels, but the death of the woman who took her in the night Leigh died brings them soaring back into her life . . . and not just any angel but the most detestable one, the one complicit in Leigh’s death—Seraph Asher.

Although Celeste tells the archangel to feather off, the unreasonably pretty and obstinate man doesn’t leave her alone. He returns and insists she complete her wings. When she asks him for one good reason to do so, he gives her an unbeatable one: what he did with Leigh’s soul. Asher never meant to share his damning secret, but he knows it’s the only way to save Celeste—the rebellious Fletching he can’t get out of his head . . . or heart.

Snarky, sexy, semi enemies-to-lovers

Celestial is a tennis match of snark, sass, danger, and a fun tit-for-tat, toe-to-toe, semi-enemies-to lovers spicy match-up.

Celeste, the street-wise angel not interested in entering Elysium, is content to stay on Earth, until the mountain of sexy Archangel Asher, who helped her sister burn her wings, shows up to get her back on the straight and narrow.

Celeste has every right to feel like she does, and wanting things to change in Elysium with their archaic rules, makes her doubt Asher's intentions, for he's in the council and hasn't changed anything. I love Celeste's attitude, and the slow-burn-turn-bonfire between her and Asher was  *chef's kiss* spicy.

I love Asher's backstory because originally, I felt he was a bit of a pompous jerk in Feather. There's so much more to him, from his guilt over a decades-old incident,  to his reluctant attraction to the fiesty, stubborn Celeste is delicious to watch unfold.

But Asher's hiding a massive,  secret, and it could cost him everything he's ever worked for.

When Celeste decides to get her act together,  she ends up in more danger than she could have ever imagined. Her unfailing bravery and faith in others nearly becomes her downfall.

The whole thing was a blast to listen to, from the twists and turns, to the sizzle of Celeste and Asher's attraction, and the heartfelt moments that tugged my heart, to me, made it even better than Feather! With all that is revealed, I cannot wait to listen to Starlight next!

Emma did a fine job on narration, bringing it all to life and made it an enjoyable listen!

Loved it!!

The second installment picked up right after the first book ended. We see more of Asher and Celeste.
Great pacing throughout the series, I loved several of the secondary characters and disliked a few of them...you will see why. I enjoyed the missions and with one mission, I was very shocked. I can’t wait to read the next book, Starlight.
The narrator, Emma Lysy did a wonderful job portraying the main characters. She used a variety of voices and inflections that were easy to follow along and understand. I highly recommend the audiobook.
Oh, my heart!! I don’t know how the author does it but this one left me with a good book hangover!! If you enjoy enemies to lovers tropes then this book is definitely for you!!

Beautiful story

I am obsessed with this series! I cannot wait to start the 3rd book! The only issues I had was with the narrator. The voice was way too whinny, and kept making me picture Celeste as a child. Which was especially unappealing during all the romance scenes. I am glad we go back to the 1st book’s narrator for the 3rd one!

Amazing book

The story was amazing. I really enjoyed it. The female narrator was very good. However, the male narrator who narrated Adam in the Epilogue was super creepy when he narrated a female's voice.

Absolutely Amazing

How do you mend broken hearts when you can’t tell anyone what you’ve done to mend them?

What do you do when you’ve spent the last 4 years giving up on earning feathers and you’re almost out of time?

What do you do when you find your enemy is actually your soulmate?

This amazing story just made my heart so full!

Much better than book 1

So it took me a minute to get used to Celeste herself, but otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed this. I definitely liked Asher more in this one, and while I didn’t find anything super shocking I did find it extremely satisfying. I can’t wait til the next one is on audio cause it’s making me anxious already.

Oh sweet Angels…

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was excited to find out what happened after Feather, book 1 of Angels of Elysium. The story picks up where we left off, with Asher and his decision, and Celeste who seems lost. I do not want to give too much away and spoil the story, but I can say the plot was captivating. I cannot wait to read/listen to book 3- Starlight. The narrator did the story justice. She was animated and enthralling.

the sassiest angel out there

4.25/5 stars!
I am just so in love with the concept of this romantasy trilogy in general, and I'm now forever attached to all the characters. I think I love these books so much because they're unique and one of a kind take on angels and how their world works fascinate me. I plowed through this book after reading book one because I'm desperate for the HEA I need for one couple. I love Celeste's character the best in this book. She's sassy, no nonsense, calls them like she sees them personality makes me so happy. I loved the narration for this audiobook too! I was actually surprised this was a single narrator narration.

💕

Ok- I was worried about this one after the ending of Feather. Tear out my heart Olivia. Eventually started this one and was so happy with how it ended for Celeste. I don’t usually like when they pick up the story with a side character but this one was done really well. Looking forward to the last book.
