About this listen

For as long as she can remember, Ancelin has felt as if she were living a life not her own - confined to an ill-fitting, somewhat empty existence. One she'd come to terms with.

Now though, something is wrong.

She can't see it, she can't touch it, but something sinister is there, lurking in the shadows, determined to consume her...if she lets it.

Ancelin loves the paranormal, the fairy tales, the dark fantasies she's read about in books and watched on a screen - all the things her sister wishes Ancelin would stop insisting were more than stories.

But what if they really are?

What if this is the story, and something - someone - is waiting on the chance to drag her back to real life?

Coveted is a paranormal romance, ending in a cliffhanger that leads into the next book of the series, which will follow a different couple. It is a novella, roughly the same length as Haunted, which you are highly encouraged to listen to (or re-listen) first.

I’m so enjoying this series but this Cliff hanger had me running for the next book!

This was my first audible and I must say I extremely enjoyed it. Ms. Gee did an awesome job bringing Author Christina Jones words to life. I normally like reading for myself and allow the authors words to play like a movie in my head. Ms. Gee was still able to bring that visual to life for me. I'm so ready for the next installment. Job well done to you both.

Well Done!

Book 2 is way better than book 1. I loved the story and all the things in between. I’m glad I gave it a chance because after listening to book one I thought about not reading book 2. This was great.

Should have read this 1st

I THOUGHT I liked Haunted...like a lot. But that was NOTHING compared to how I enjoyed this sequel. I loved the characters, I loved their history, I just could go on and on about it. I enjoyed this book more than any other I've read in a very long time. Also, I would love to hear the narrator narrate more books. I loved her voice!

I THOUGHT I liked Haunted

To have these two come through things to discover that this series has a similar enemies but yet different ones. To see these black men fight for their woman in the first book and this book was beautiful. To see that yes black men will and are willing to fight to protect their women. Stories are only a reflection of real life. This is a beautiful representation of Black Man’s love for a Black Woman

This was Twist in Plot

Updated Review

Maeve strikes again. That heffa is snatchin' memories and causing havoc in everybody's relationship. After searching high and low, Nasir finally finds Ancelin after Maeve has hidden her from him for the sixth time. As Aram's personal driver and security, he's tasked with protecting Ancelin from an unknown evil dark presence. While guarding her, Nasir has to wait patiently until she can remember who she is and what they were to each other on her own. I was really invested in Ancelin and Nasir's story because, I felt like we got to dive deeper into their backstory making them a lot more interesting as a couple. Maeve with her petty and shady self just can't let folks alone. Now, she's out here compelling Zaire to do her dirty work just so she can get revenge for the 100th time. I am sick of her! I hope CCJ gives us some background on Maeve so, we can understand why she's so evil and vindictive. But, can we talk about that scene with the masseuse?!!! Clutches pearls cause, honey, I can't EVER unsee that nor do I want to. CCJ got good and filthy with that one! And, that ending though?!!! That cliffhanger had me stressed all the way out! What the did Maeve do to Erin?!!! Will she finally remember Zaire?!!!!! Will they be able to have another baby?!!! Will we find out who Aram's real parents are? Will we find out why Khalida and Aram can't have kids?!!! Chiiiiiile, I got questions that need answers. Let me slide right on into Restored so I can find them

That Ending Though!!!

I did not like the use of the word masseuse. It’s an outdated and dare I say derogatory term. It’s also not even being used in the correct context.

Good story
