About this listen

Warrior "War" Davis is ready for anything life has to throw at him, or at least he thinks he is.

He's not a man that should be played with on any level, but love doesn't care about your position. When love enters the battlefield, will it be a fair fight? Life has a funny way of humbling you. When the humbling comes from a person you don't want to even like, will he submit himself to love?

Blossom "Pea" McCoy has been in battles most of her life, but her biggest battle is just over the horizon. Will she be able to turn an enemy into a friend to prepare for a bigger nemesis, or will her pride lead her to a losing battle? What happens when enemies turn to friends who turn to lovers?

They say love is a battlefield. Let's see who is truly ready for war!

Triumph Story

I just love how this story came together and how War took in Blossoms son like his own and taught him what a man should be

The characters came alive in this book

This book was able to keep my attention the whole time. I’m sure that had something to do with Winston James; anything he narrates I’ll listen to. You’ll enjoy this this book believe me.

Interesting narrators

I really enjoyed the storyline! The book had some interesting moments and a lot of action! I loved the male narrator, but it was just okay with the female narrator. It’s about telling a story and not reading it. Once I got over her reading the story, the book was a really good read! I’m going to be looking for more audible books with him narrating.

War the Protector and Loves Hard!!!

This was my first listen of the novel by Mel Dau. Overall, it was decent. The narrators were awesome. I knew it would be amazing when I saw Winston James. He nailed his main character, War. The storyline was good. War and Peace were made for each other; although, in the beginning they didn’t care too much for each other. That didn’t last long at all; if it wasn’t for Peace’s son. I admired how they were physically attracted to one another, and it was easy for War to take to her son. He proved to be a good role model; compared to his sperm donor…LOL. Trustan’s father was a mess; realized he lost a good thing. He tried to get that back, but that didn’t work. That whole side of the family was corrupt, too bad for Truth to be brought up like that. Who knows, he could have been different - what a bad influence and sad outcome. It just made the possibility for War and Peace to be stuck with each other forever. Glad Peace found her tribe, with that one power move!
