Publisher's summary

“I’m willing to wait for him.”

Neil MacDonough isn’t used to having to work for anything except the high success rates he has with his patients and the new procedure that’s made him a rockstar in the medical world. He’s used to men falling all over themselves for a chance at being with him - and it perplexes him why one sassy-mouthed recruiter for The Club won’t give him the time of day. But Alex has caught his attention - and this stubborn Scotsman is prepared to show Alex just how tender of a lover he can be.

"I don’t know if I can trust again."

Alex loves his job as a recruiter for The Billionaire Club, but the idea of entering into a contract of his own leaves him with a sour taste in his mouth. He’s tried that - and has the emotional scars to prove it. Besides, he doesn’t have time to date. With an upcoming promotion and a swathe of staff members dropping like flies from the flu, it’s up to Alex to make sure their upcoming gala comes off without a hitch. No matter how distracting Neil’s smile might be....

Welcome to The Billionaire Club, where men of certain means are able to match themselves with high quality singles who agree to a relationship bound by contract. This steamy BDSM audiobook features a roguish Scottish doctor, his two twin daughters who can’t wait to see their father happy again, and a lonely Club recruiter who learns that he really can have his own happily ever after.

enjoyed it

Would I listen to it again: probably
Did the story keep me engaged: reasonably
Was I invested in the characters: yes

Story comment: easy pace, likeable characters, low drama.
I liked that Neil, being a stubborn Scotsman didn't give up on Alex.

Barney Parkwynne, had done a reasonable job narrating Daring the Doctor. The characters personalities were there and each character had his own voice, but at times the narration felt a little flat and the intonations weren't always in the right place, so it just held me back from becoming completely immersed in the story... I generally enjoyed it though and it wouldn't stop me from picking up another book narrated by him again.

Letting your heart love

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. The author has written a sweet romance about letting your heart love again after a traumatic experience. There is an instant chemistry between Alex and Neil but Alex is afraid to love again. Although Neil is a workaholic his girls and friends encourage his to start dating. I loved how the author develops these characters as they give love a try again. At first the narrator seemed to be drawing the "s" out too long but when I speeded up the audio that fixed that problem. He gave the characters distinctive voices and brought out the emotions and personalities of these characters. I recommend this Audible book.

Decent

I’m torn on this book. I liked parts of it but other parts felt flat. Some of the dialogue is rather stilted and the chemistry between the mcs didn’t totally work for me. The narration was very good.

Alex is gun shy

I liked thst Neil knew what he wanted and was single minded in the pursuit of Alex. I had empathy for Alex and his past that held him back from committing to Neil. I loved the gala scene. The hero scores big points. Karma us good. Check it out. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job.

BORING

What a waste. The narrator is so drone and even playing at 1.3x it’s evident that he should be voice over for a robot and not a story. Too much talk and not enough action.

Daring the Doctor

This is a sweet book. Neil and Alex make a good couple. I enjoyed the way their relationship takes shape and the interactions between the two. It was nice to see how Neil slowly proves to Alex what they could be. I liked the storyline but at parts the book lost something for me, and I had a hard time connecting with the characters. I have a hard time with narrator Barney Parkwynne and the strong emphasis he puts on his pronunciation of words especially ones with the letter s or t.
