Publisher's summary

“You know what they say, lawful in the streets but chaotic in the sheets.”

Life has suddenly become very complicated for Dillon Strands. Having gone from a social pariah to the campus Casanova in just over a week, he now finds himself confused as to how to handle his new found life.

Resolving to take things as they come, he is just beginning to find his new normal when Suzie Andrews shatters the fragile tranquility he had finally found.

Can he find his solace and whose heart will have to break in order to do so? It may just be his own.

Author's Note: This book is the second in a number of novella length serials, as such it does not have a traditional "ending" and is not intended to be listened to as a stand-alone book.

Pigtails.... That's it, That's the headline.

It is hard to review without spoilers, but I will try the best I can especially since I already started book 3 before writing this.

New and old players are added to the sexual craziness in Dylan's life... adding to the mix goth girls and pigtails.

Alexa has done a wonderful job crafting believable characters in an emotional labor sense. The women are strong and capable, but all the characters (including the men) leave a vulnerability that to me really turns the book into erotica and not porn with a plot. I'm not talking about sexual vulnerabilities either, but personal ones. The characters actually learn about one another and not just use each other as sex toys to get off on so strings are attaching...unless pigtails are involved.

Besides the character aspects, the game design talk and discussion is nerdy enough to keep me interested in the nerdy stuff, especially when it helps to shine a light on a character that barely had much the first book.

I love that the book has more playing on boundaries and thoughts and conversations about safe sex, because it brings the relationship type realism to the next level.

Also, Hulk needs to get smashed, repeatedly, between the legs, with Mjölnir. I would prefer it to be done by Janie or Lexie.

Once again Sharmila Devar outdoes herself bringing life and interest to the characters that either had very few lines in the first book or the brand new characters in this one. The personalities of the women are written strongly and she is able to pull out all their strengths. She also makes sure that the vulnerabilities and flaws shine for all of the characters.. I love the voice of the new character (however I'm biased because I like the image of the new character).

I need to get this out of the way... and it's the only remote spoiler...ALEXA WHY THIS CLIFFHANGER?!?!? WHY?!? IS THIS SO I WAS FORCED TO IMMEDIATELY BUY BOOK 3?!?!

Oh god, people are going to die. I hope someone fixes this with polyamory.... though Dani and June might have a Polyarmory in their apartment.

It reads like a fumblingly of a teenage boy

Oooppps, oh my goodness, I must have accidentally bought this one too. I decided to listen to this just in case the author got better in book two as she touts herself as someone who knows all about erotica on social media and is always plugging her books and saying it’s a bestseller (I guess anyone can say they are a ‘bestseller’ somewhere these days). Anyway, fellow listeners don’t believe the hype. This audiobook is also not good. It’s worse than the first audiobook in this series. If it were more expensive, I’d be exchanging it. This is a shot in the dark by an inexperienced writer about what they imagine sex might be like. I would reckon Ms. Sommer is in her early twenties, at most, and really hasn’t got much first-hand experience with erotica which is why her stories come off flat, immature, and unsexy.

I also didn’t like the narration. Words were mispronounced or missed altogether. I don’t know if that is Ms. Sommer’s manuscript with the problems or the narrator’s issues. I would not recommend this audiobook, it reads like a fumblingly of a teenage boy with a girl for the first time.
