Audible I NEED Imperfect Match! The Second Half 📕

Kat is from a well-to-do family. They are under the impression that she is living and working as an artist after dropping out of Harvard. She is not interested in finding her soulmate, she is just living in the moment. She is vulgar, trampy and doesn't apologize for it.

She promises to sign up with an online dating service to quiet her mother's constant nagging – Kat lets any interested parties know exactly what she is looking for – a hook up at best and unsolicited advice on the other.

This book is really about the relationship between Kat and her mother, with a brilliant cast of friends and coworkers.

PLEASE NOTE: This is ONLY PART 1 of 2 BOOKS! The end of the story is found in Imperfectly Matched. I think that is important to know before buying. It is mentioned at the tail end of the Program Summary, but I did want to point it out.

I did like this book, it was well-written with an interesting plot. While this is classified as Romance > Erotica, I think it would easily fit in the genres of Contemporary Romance and consider it Chic Lit, as well, WITH the following warnings, there is strong language (attributed mostly to the main character) and descriptions of sex.

This is the first book that I have listened to by MJ Fields. I'm surprised and happy to see that there are several series with well over 15 titles. I'm adding a few of them to my massive wish list.

Ramona Master is a great match for Match This! Her vocal performance is very good over many different characters. I like consistency and hope that she will narrate Imperfectly Matched! when the time comes.

A package deal with Match This! & Imperfectly Matched! Would be ideal – a perfect match. Be aware (again) that this is only 1/2 of the story, it is over 4 hours long and the 2nd part is not yet available on audio. I am impatient and want to listen to the conclusion RIGHT NOW. Audible, release it soon, please.

Cliffhanger!

Typically I am not bothered by foul language in a book, but all of the F-bombs became over used and took away from the book. I thought the narrator did an awesome performance with her expressions and emotions. The story was original, yet lost a lot of the appeal with the repetitive words. I didn't like how the story ended in a cliffhanger. I requested this review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, and/or publisher and have voluntarily written this review.

Just couldn't get into this story...

Match This! which is part one of the Matched Duet series by MJ fields was an okay listen. It's vulgar as hell and though there is talk of sex, etc. I really wouldn't classify this as erotica. Trust me, the language and sex didn't bother me one bit. I just couldn't get into the story and didn't care about the characters. I found Kat to be completely unlikable and though I'd like to hear what happens to Ricco with his child issues, I just don't care enough to listen to the second book. The book is left on a cliffhanger, so be aware of that when getting this title!

Ramona Master did a good job with the narration of this story, though I didn't quite feel that it fit Kat. I'd still definitely listen to more books narrated by her though as her voice was pleasant to listen to and she did a good job with the male characters as well. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review.

Not my cop of tea - could be yours?

I'm a bit crass. Unrefined. No issues with the language in this book. I thought I would connect with the main character, but I only found her annoying, frustrating, and I rolled my eyes through the entire first half (the second half of which I did not listen to, because I found that, even half way through, I just didn't care enough about the characters to care what happened to them). I didn't laugh once. I realize that sounds harsh, but this book and I just didn't click.

Gotta Love it!

Seriously hardened chic. Nothing gets under her skin, that is, except her mother. And oh! Surprise! Her mom moves in for a few weeks and everything in her carefully constructed life changes from that point forward. There is a lot of bad language and sexual innuendo with some action. Just as a relationship starts to bud, it ends. Have to wait for book two. Darn!

Ramona Master did an excellent job.

Absolutely Awesome

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. And... I loved it!!!! It was pretty far out there, or at least Kat is, pretty far out there, but I loved her. Wow, what it would be like to say what you want when you want without repercussions. I do have to say, I'm hanging and the second installment of Kat is not in audible. Can I wait??? Guess I have to. The author was fantastic and the narrator was perfect. This audiobook was one of the best I have listened to in a while. I haven't listened to any other MJ Fields' books, but I just bought Man of Steel Book 1. If it is close to this book in entertainment value, I know I will love it too.

Very Entertaining "Don't Give a Sh*t" Story

I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom. This is only my second experience with Ramona Master as a narrator and my first experience with MJ Fields as a writer (although I do have all her audiobooks in my wishlist as they sound very interesting). They both knocked it out of the park with this very entertaining listen. MJ Fields does a great job creating the character, Kat, and Ramona Master does an excellent job bringing her "don't give a sh*t" attitude. This audiobook is just under 5 hours and a great option when you need a short listen to lighten your mood and make you laugh. I highly recommend this audiobook and will for sure get the rest of MJ's audiobooks that are in my wishlist now.

Over the top but good

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

It depends on the friend. Kat is so unfiltered it may be a bit much for some people

What would have made this romance irresistible?

I dont know if I would call this a romance. It was more about Kat's relationships with her family and friends. The interactions she had with potential "love interests" were not that romantic.

I couldn't imagine anyone else doing the narration for this book except Ramona Master. She did a great job with this one. I was really into this book that I had to pick up the next one in the duet. I wanted to wait and see if it was on audio because that's how good the narrator is but I just had to know what happened next. It ends on a cliffhanger but I would still recommend this book.

I LOVED THIS!!!

Holy cow this book is fantastic!!!!! Can I say that again? I think I can. This book is Fantastic!!!!! I laughed out loud so many times my family thinks I'm crazy. I can not wait to get the next one! I received this copy as a gift and am voluntarily reviewing, but I will be buying the next one because I can't wait to see what happens next!!!!
